Extended Summary
With the opening of the Kiosk at the Surf Club approaching, Shelley and Ailsa decided that their families should combine together and go on an outing. Alf went and saw Rhys about it and said, “Where do these women get these flamin’ ideas from?” Rhys replied, “It is passed down from their mothers”.
Alf decided that they should all go fishing together on his boat and maybe they could listen to the Super 12s (Rugby Union) as well. Rhys thinks that is dodgy because he is into Aussie Rules NOT Rugby.
Gavin asked Shauna out to see a band while he is on an assignment for the newspaper. She agreed to go out just as friends.
Vinnie is helping Gavin by taking pictures for the newspaper and he took a photo of Gypsy and Harry while they were on Harry’s motorbike. Shauna saw it and she asked Harry if he was trying to make her jealous. Harry told her that at least Gypsy had the guts to get on his motorbike and to go in a plane unlike her.
Brodie is back because she didn’t like the foster family DOCS sent her to. She prefers the DIC. Shelley is working on another family for her. Meanwhile, she asked Sally if Mitch had a girlfriend; Hayley heard and told her that he was ‘totally free’. Hayley went to Mitch and asked him if he had had Brodie in mind when he wanted to break up with her! He said no and then went to see Brodie. Brodie was really embarrassed so she locked herself in the DIC toilet.
