Extended Summary
Vinnie managed to save most of the Diner by reaching for and using the fire extinguisher in the kitchen. The Diner was a mess but the major damage was in the kitchen. Leah told Ailsa that it was her fault and Ailsa told her to never come near her or her business again! Later on, Colleen thanked Leah for taking the blame for her because Leah could find another job and Colleen would struggle. Colleen said she would own up but when she tried to tell Alf, he was carrying on about how Leah was in charge and that she had ruined his family (so naturally Colleen thought that she was off the hook with Leah supposed to be in charge). Leah asked Colleen later if she had owned up and Colleen started rambling on about how Leah was meant to be in charge and that she was a mere worker!!
Fisher tried to get Judith to look at an itinerary for their overseas trip which they would go on together if Judith didn’t get a job in Europe. Judith didn’t seem that keen and later on, she told Fisher that a school in Switzerland wanted to interview her. Fisher is disappointed, as he really wants to travel with Judith.
Alf took all of his anger out on Shauna and told her that she hadn’t been herself since Gavin died and her work was lacking. Harry heard it all and consoled Shauna. He suggested she take time off. They hugged each other and Gypsy saw them. Later, Gypsy asked whom Harry had seen at the beach and he never mentioned Shauna. Shauna asked Alf for a week off and Vinnie said they would manage so Alf said yes. Harry went away on a trip and when he left, Vinnie told Gypsy that Shauna was not going to be at work next week. Gypsy is now speculating that Harry and Shauna have gone off together. Vinnie told her not to worry and Gypsy said that she trusted him completely. Later, Vinnie caught Gypsy ringing the airline to see if Shauna was on a flight with Harry!
