Extended Summary
Alf and Duncan. are falling apart. Duncan is having problems coming to terms with Ailsa’s death. While on the camping trip, he ran off after Kirsty, Jade and Nick tried to cheer him up. Duncan said he felt bad for laughing at the kids’ antics so soon after his mum’s death. Shelley tried telling him that being sad all the time doesn’t prove you love someone. Nick’s been telling him he knows how he feels, but Duncan doesn’t want to hear it. It looks like he’s given up on Alf too.
Mitch and Colleen had a bad day at the diner. Alf accepted a huge lunch booking without realising how limited his staff was. So Brodie offered to help out but found waitressing wasn’t as easy as she first thought. She got confused, mixed up orders and broke a few plates. It was so busy Colleen didn’t have the chance to be angry. A customer got stuck in to Brodie, and Mitch soon realised Colleen was right. Brodie was a hindrance and not a help. Unfortunately, Brodie got fired.
Lately Nick has shown he’s a good friend to Duncan. He’s went on a search looking photos of Ailsa. He was making an album for Duncan as a replacement for the photos he lost in the mudslide. Duncan really appreciated it, as Jade and Kirsty had helped as well.
Dani’s still mad at Gypsy for ruining her night with Will and told her to leave the family alone. Apparently Will visited Gypsy and told her off as well, adding he never dreamt of interfering with her relationship with Harry, so why can’t she butt out of his. Gypsy felt bad, so she went over to apologise to Dani. She should have just left it at that, but when she started offering Dani advice, Dani let loose and said they were all sick of her.
