Extended Summary
Irene’s life is changing. She told Hayley, who took Irene to the doctor’s. When the boys asked what was going on, both Hayley and Irene said it was ‘women’s business’. Irene mentioned to Alf that she misses Ailsa. Most likely she just needed someone to talk to, and Colleen isn’t the kind of person you’d share your secrets with.
Alf’s crushed after Duncan told him he’s going to New Caledonia to improve his French. Alf feels like he’s failed Ailsa with Duncan. However it’s more like Duncan’s failed Alf and had no option but to leave the Bay. He caused a lot of pain. Life’s been easier for everyone without Duncan around.
Kirsty’s following Dani’s lead of ‘treat ’em mean, keep ’em keen’. Dani’s worried about the trouble it could lead to. Kirsty’s not. Will’s also noticed how comfortable Jade and Nick are together. They’re making things obvious by avoiding each other. It looks like Nick wants to talk to Jade but she doesn’t want to.
Will really wants to support Gypsy. Unfortunately, Dani’s jealousy prevents that. Gypsy’s trying to be friends with Dani but Dani doesn’t want anything to do with her. Gypsy’s told her to get over it and look at what a good thing she has in her life. This must have got to Dani, because she did something amazing not like Dani at all… Alf offered Dani a job at the Diner to fill in for Leah. Dani was about to take it, but she talked Alf into hiring Gypsy instead. When Gypsy found out it was Dani who rigged up the job for her, she was surprised. She apologised to Dani for her behaviour, and Dani said Gypsy was right. She’s got nothing to worry about.
