Dani hears some shocking information. Vinnie gets an exciting opportunity. Colleen uses Alf for slave labour.
Extended Summary
Vinnie’s been offered a cadetship as a photographer at the local newspaper. Leah’s thrilled, Vinnie’s not sure if he’ll accept it, and Alf’s pleased but said it would be a shame if Vinnie leaves the Surf Club. Vinnie probably wouldn’t last long having to stay in an office all day.
Brodie finally stood up for herself today. Jan began flirting with Rhys, and Brodie told her how she felt. Jan was about to hit Brodie, so Brodie told her she wasn’t going to let Jan hit her anymore. Jan then blubbered on about how good it was to have such an ‘understanding’ daughter. Jan is obviously still not fit to look after her own daughter.
Colleen bought Alf as her slave, but she’s really working him to the bone. So far he’s cleaned out her gutters and tidied her mobile home. She’s even twisted Alf’s arm and made him donate some money to the DIC.
Alex’s new love interest, Heidi (the music reviewer), isn’t winning him any friends. Dani’s told him off for upsetting Brodie. Alex then saw Brodie and asked her if he’s going to get blasted by one of the Sutherlands every time he sees someone new. Brodie calmly told him he’s not worth it. This put a dent in Alex’s ego.
Meanwhile, Dani’s getting in a fluster about Will. Dani was around at the girls’ house and heard some of the messages on the answering machine. One of them was from Will, who was pleading for Gypsy to call him. Dani was furious when she heard it. Dani is starting to put two and two together.
