Extended Summary
It’s the Saturday morning of the big combined party and everybody’s getting ready for the big night. Duncan’s leading Jade further down the drug path (albeit legal) and Robbie’s concerned. But Jade rejects him, saying he’s not her brother, he doesn’t need to worry. Jade’s having problems with other members of her ‘family’ as well, after the recent revelations – especially Matilda.
Noah gives Hayley a dummy present (a boring art book) when she expects a ring. But the ring is coming later on. Or so Noah thinks! He accidentally loses it in the party preparations at the Surf Club, only for it to be picked up by…Hayley! She sees it and although Irene tries her best to get it off her, Hayley cottons on. She goes ballistic and races to celebrate with Noah who gets down on one knee and asks for her hand in marriage. “YES!???
Meanwhile Leah and Jesse have hit ground zero in their relationship. Surely things can’t get any worse? But Leah won’t admit there’s a problem. There’s no chemistry problem between Flynn and Leah though. The attraction between them is overwhelming when they meet at the diner. They’re both lying to themselves that nothing’s going on.
Flynn tells Jesse he was right about Sally. He shouldn’t have let her go. She was distant when he talked to her on the phone. Where does he stand?
Robbie sees an old beat up charger for sale outside the surf club ($500). He gets an idea. But so do Rhys and Beth. It looks like he’s going to get an unexpected gift.
Speaking of gifts, Tasha gets Robbie a beautiful little present that’s personal to the two of them. They share a kiss.
Meanwhile, as Duncan ensures there will be fireworks at the party by sending an SMS invite to practically everyone in Summer Bay and Yabbie Creek – Leah sets off some fireworks of her own by finally admitting the truth to a gob smacked Flynn… “I think I’m in love with you.???
