Extended Summary

THE KIOSK

Sally sees Rhys and he confirms that the Caravan Park is on the market and offers her first choice on it because she grew up there. Sally is delighted and admits she always dreamed of owning it one day. Rhys tells her she has time to sort things out, they still have to get the place valued and Beth needs to find a new home but he hopes she gets it.

SALLY AND FLYNNS HOUSE

They discuss buying the Caravan Park house, Sally is keen but Flynn is not sure. Sally points out all the benefits, that Pippa would love it etc. Flynn admits that he always assumed they’d one day move on from the bay but that buying the house would tie them to it. Sally understands where he’s coming from and that it’s a lifelong commitment, he has to be happy with the decision. Flynn starts to come round to the idea.

BEACH HOUSE

K&K and Irene are talking about the sale of the caravan Park and Kane remarks that it’s probably Rhys’s decision to kick Beth and the kids out but his comment provokes Kirsty’s anger. Irene sides with Kirsty saying that it was actually Beth’s idea and Kane remarks that it probably has too many bad memories. A defensive Kirsty points out that it was her home too.

Irene phones Flynn and they agree to meet at the Diner to sort the Josie issue out.

THE DINER

Colleen enters the Diner and finds it a mess. Irene is late and Leah is in the kitchen, Alf looks bemused as Colleen bemons Irene. Flynn enters and orders a coffee, Colleen flounces off and Flynn looks to Alf for an answer but Alf shrugs, he’s not the boss anymore. Colleen moans to Leah about the mess but Leah says she’s been busy and Colleen continues to moan about Irene but Leah defends her, Irene is doing the late shift so Leah can go on a date with Dan. Colleen quizszes Leah but Leah is cagy nothing much is going to happen because Sally is only minding VJ until ten and Colleen suggests she ask Sally to have VJ stay the night. Leah is shocked, she’s not looking for a relationship and Colleen has dishes to do.

Colleen starts on the dishes whilst continuing to moan about power going to Irene’s head, her cracking the whip without realising Irene is stood behind her. Irene finally asks for a coffee leaving Colleen shamefaced and Leah laughing.

Flynn and Irene discuss Josie, with Irene commenting about her old job and how she afforded the appartment she’s just bought. Morag arrives and they discuss options for keeping Tasha from Josie. Irene is keen to avoid court, she is convinced that Josie would have any judge eating out of her hand. Morag suggests the best thing is to sort things before it gets to court and a reluctant Flynn is roped into helping.

JOSIE’S APARTMENT

Taha has had the guided tour of Josie’s new apartment and is very impressed, she comments on it being so big and Josie replies that she wants Tash to move in.

BREAK

Josie is still waiting for an answer from Tasha about moving in but Tasha is worried about Irene and declines though she’d love to. Josie argues that Irene would only want whats best for her and sweet talks her until Tasha eventually says yes. A delighted Josie tells her Jesse is on his way over. Tash implies there is something going on but Josie confides that men are usually intimidated by her. Tasha likes Jesse though and hints that Josie does too.

THE DINER

Sally is with VJ and pippa is in her stroller as Alf approaches and jokes that she is having fun. Sally replies that the first rule of bbysitting is to wear the kids out. He congratutates her on getting the Caravan park house, Sally tells him its a long way off yet, its so expensive but Alf assures her that if anyone can do it she and Flynn can. Sally reminisces about how lucky she was to grow up there with Tom and Pippa and Alf remarks that things were tough back then, they always had a huge tab at the store. Sally remembers family meetings about tightening their belts but that they never went without. She remarks that they’ll find a way somehow. Colleen approaches and makes a fuss of VJ, Sally remarks that having him is all for a good cause and she juist hopes Leah thinks so too.

LEAH’S HOUSE

Leah is dressed up in a long black dress and high shoes when she greets a very casual looking Dan at the door, she grimances that they’re not off anywhere posh but Dan tells her that would be boring and predictale and he’s not that sort of guy. Leah jokes that she sould probably lose the heels, the dress, the lipstick, Dan smiles and tells her the lipstick can stay. She heads off to change.

JOSIE’S APARTMENT

Tash is showing Jesse around and shows him her room, when he looks surprised she tells him she’s moving in. He asks if Irene knows and Tash replies no but she’s hoping Irene will be happy for her. Josie enters and points out that she has got Tash a full rail of clothes. Jesse is clearly bemused.

OUTSIDE SOMEWHERE

Leah and Dan are having a picnic. He tells her he made it himself. The weather turns nasty though and some of the food starts to blow away.

JOSIE’S APARTMENT

Josie and Jesse are talking about the bar and the third party, but Josie tells him if he’s hapy she wants to be the only other owner. Jesse remarks that he didn’t realise he was here to discuss the bar but Josie points out that after what he said the other night what does he think he’s here for. Tasha grins to herself and hands them both drinks. Jesse remarks about the amount of alcohol but Josie tells him she likes it like that.

THE PICNIC SPOT

Leah and Dan are running to the car as it has begun to pour down. They are laughing and he tells her he had it all planned out it was meant to be nice and warm, Leah suggests they take it back to her place.

THE BEACH HOUSE

Kirsty is finding her homework hard and when she is ignored by Kane she throws her pen at him. Tasha arrives and remarks that she is back early because she wanted to give Josie and Jesse some peace. Tasha comments that she thinks Josie has had a bad experience with men but that it’s only because she hasn’t found the right one but that she will when she gets to know Jesse. She adds to a shocked Kirsty and Kane that they’ll have more room when she moves out.

LEAH’S HOUSE

She and Dan are finishing their picnic. They talk about food and then there is an unconfortable silence. Dan remarks that he feels like everytime he gets close she backs off, Leah tells him to say what he means but he replies that if he does things will just get complicated again. Silence falls again.

JOSIE’S APARTMENT

Josie and Jesse are drinking in the dark, he suggests that Tash was trying to tell them something. Josie admits that Tash thinks he’s cute and so does she, Josie jokes that he hopes he’s not taking advantage of her but he replies that he’s just pacing himself, he has to drive home. She suddenly jumps up as it has stopped raining and brings the conversation back to the partnership. They grow closer and she tells him her conditions as a major investor are that she gets final decisions on what happens in the bar even down to the cocktail list. She kisses him then asks what his conditions are, he takes a deep breath and says that seeing as she’s called him boring several times tonight, he’s going to be. He gets up and collects his coat. Josie grins as he leaves.

LEAH’S HOUSE

Leah and Dan are drinking coffee. Hev tells her it was a lovely night and she replies that it was but she needs to pick VJ up from Sally. He offers to drive her but she declines. He tells her if she’s holding off because of VJ she shouldn’t worry because he knows they come as a package, she tells him its complicated. They kiss but Leah quickly pulls away and tells him she can’t do this. Dan says he understands and she tells him he should go.

JOSIE’S APARTMENT (The next day)

There is a loud knocking at the door as Josie runs down stairs. She opens the door to see Morag who remarks that she really is a dead ringer for Angie. Josie asks Morag if she should know her to which Morag replies no but she will soon. She introduces herself and says they need to talk.
