Extended Summary
It’s the day of Josie and Jesse’s wedding and Jesse is feeling the nerves. It’s Marc – of all people – who reassures him (somewhat slyly) that Josie loves him as much as he loves her and would never do anything to hurt him. Meanwhile, Josie is going through a greater torment – and Marc’s threats are the main cause. Tasha is convinced she’s about to make the biggest mistake of her life. But Josie won’t back down.
Relations between Sally and Flynn are still frosty and although Flynn wants to hasten the process of repatriation, Sally warns him it’s going to take time. They’re putting on a combined show of unity for Ric’s sake, but he’s not buying it.
Scott notices Hayley acting strangely before the wedding and pegs it’s about Noah: this is the first wedding she’s been to since her own. She finds solace in Scott’s arms until Lisa comes over and the whole tone changes. Hayley’s sadness returns.
As the ceremony draws closer, Tasha continues pushing Josie to come clean. Finally Josie turns on her and says ‘living a lie and living with a lie are two totally different things – my feelings for Jesse are true.’ Josie reckons if Tasha feels so strongly about it, why is she going through with it? It’s a pertinent point for Tasha.
As the ceremony starts and Josie throws looks at Marc and vice versa, it all becomes too much for Tasha. Just as the celebrant is about to pronounce them husband and wife, Tasha runs, leaving Jesse reeling, Josie in agony, and the assembled throng in stunned silence.
The result is tragic. Josie has to tell Jesse about Marc. His reaction is instantaneous. Josie tries to reach out to him, but he shuts down. He announces to their guests exactly what happened – pointing out Marc as the man Josie slept with. Marc wastes no time continuing the fa
