Extended Summary
Scott is devastated by Hayley’s news that Lisa has a husband. He confronts Lisa at home and she tells him there’s more to it than he thinks. She and Alan aren’t in a relationship – they’ve been separated for a year. Scott relents but is still sceptical. Lisa blames Hayley for not liking her.
Ric’s mystery girl has put a spring in his step, but he’s not letting anyone know why. He’s at the beach sunbathing when water is splashed on his face. It’s the girl and she wants to hang out. They go skinny-dipping at a secluded water hole. The girl tricks Ric into a race and then takes off with his clothes! Ric is forced to ride all the way home in his birthday suit, giving Beth, Colleen and Matilda a big shock on their way back from Yabbie Creek. Flynn is most amused when Ric turns up at the house with nothing but a garden gnome to hide his package. Still – it doesn’t dampen Ric’s interest in the girl!
Zoe’s starting to get a little too pushy for Kim’s liking. The relationship is travelling faster than he expected and he’s trying to put the brakes on. When he gets home from work, he’s shocked to find Zoe already there with a romantic dinner prepared for him. Luckily Robbie and Tasha walk in and spoil the party and Kim begs them to stay – much to Zoe’s displeasure. Robbie thinks Kim should tell Zoe the truth, but Kim doesn’t want to stuff things up with honesty.
Leah’s wedding dress needs some alterations and Beth offers to do them. Matilda is quite taken by the wedding dress. She’d love to try it on. Anything to make up for the lack of romance she’s feeling in her own life. Hayley off-loads to Leah about Scott. Leah thinks she’s done the right thing and should reveal her true feelings to him. Hayley’s not so sure. But then Scott comes in and says he believes Lisa’s story. Hayley’s stunned. She decides to step away from the whole situation. If Scott’s sure he’s doing the right thing, it’s his decision. And yet it seems that Scott’s not actually so sure about Lisa anymore. He’s still working things out. Leah tells him he’s making a mistake, and accidentally reveals Hayley has feelings for him. Scott is stunned!
Zoe wants to take a romantic trip up the coast, but Kim isn’t keen. Finally he tells her they’re moving a bit fast. Why don’t they put the trip off a while? Zoe is totally hurt. She storms out; leaving Kim surprised by what he thinks is a major overreaction.
Scott has it out with Hayley. He thinks her feelings for him are causing her to sabotage his relationship with Lisa. Hayley denies it, but Scott storms out, leaving the friendship in jeopardy. Hayley arrives back, emotional after her confrontation with Scott. She and Kim share their problems over a drink of wine and before they know it, lingering eye-contact is made and they end up in a passionate kiss!
