There’s tension between Josie and Jesse at the Diner and Martha is stuck in the middle. Josie stares at Jesse. Meanwhile, over at the counter, Robbie and Tasha are still ignoring each other. Finally Jesse can stand Josie’s beady eyes no longer. He asks if she has something to say and she goes off at him and Martha for rubbing her face in it. The argument is broken up and Martha says she’ll understand if it’s too much Jesse. But he is adamant he wants to be with her, and Josie will have to get used to it.
Colleen’s excited to be picking out Tasha’s dress for the Groper Pageant, but Martha clocks that Tasha’s not so enthusiastic. Tasha says she thinks Colleen’s trying to re-live her life through her. Colleen overhears everything. She’s totally crushed. When Tasha meets her to go off and pick the dress, Colleen is withdrawn. Colleen reveals she heard everything. Tasha apologises. Colleen says it hurt because Tasha was right, but only because she cares about Tasha so much and wants her to experience what she did. But if Tasha wants to drop it, she can. Tasha comes back to Colleen, armed with a new understanding, and a new dress! She wants to be a part of the pageant. Colleen’s fired up! But Alf is still worried so he broaches the subject with Martha who assures him that she can look after herself. Morag is ropeable that Josie spoke to Martha so harshly earlier on. She confronts her and gives her a serve. But Josie gives right back with all she’s got. Things are left very tense.
Peter’s gut instinct is telling him that Josie’s not responsible for Marc’s murder. He decides to start from scratch and go through all the evidence, and that’s when he finds it. The time on Marc’s watch stopped at 4.15pm after he struggled with his murderer; the timer was set at 4.20pm; the bomb was discovered at 4.30pm. It means Marc couldn’t have set the bomb. He was set up! At that moment, Const. Adams comes in with a letter that reads, “You won’t be so lucky next time”. Peter is stunned. The Stalker is still out there!
