Extended Summary
Robbie’s got a big home party planned for his 18th. Tasha’s got a surprise present for Robbie and it’s driving him crazy. Tasha drags Robbie through to the lounge and reveals she wants to stay the night with him and be there for this new chapter in his life. Robbie knows Beth won’t be cool, but Tasha has a plan.
Peter’s okay after the crash, but Clare needs to be rushed to hospital for a wound on her forehead. She’s got minor concussion and needs stitches. The two of them joke about driving skills and then there’s a long moment of eye contact and URST, but it goes no further. Clare has to stay the night in hospital, which doesn’t make her happy. Peter gives her an awkward goodbye kiss and then gets a call from Constable Fitzgerald who tells him the brakes were cut. Peter’s stunned. He thinks the Stalker’s targeting him. He emails the Stalker – “If you want me…come and get me. But leave her out of it…”
Cassie’s still watching over Joy and Ric is still by her side, but she won’t be in the same proximity as Uncle Ben. Ric wonders why and she says it’s because she doesn’t know him well. Ben says he needs time with Cassie alone to discuss Joy’s future. She reluctantly agrees. When they’re alone Ben asks why she’s been acting so strangely around him and Cassie can’t believe he’d even have the nerve to ask! She clams up and won’t speak. Meanwhile Ric questions Flynn about it and Flynn thinks she’s reacting the way anyone would. But Ric’s still not convinced. Cassie asks Flynn and Sally if she can stay at their house the night. She makes the excuse that she’s not used to being in Joy’s house alone, but really it’s because Ben’s there. Ric knows something’s not right.
Tasha leaves the house, only to double back and climb in Robbie’s window. They think they’ve got away with it, until Beth nearly springs them. In the morning they wake and Robbie says how special his life it because he has her in it. At breakfast they try to continue their charade, but Beth reveals she knew exactly what they were doing, much to their horror and the twins’ mirth.
Ric thinks he knows why Cassie’s weird around Ben, as he is off the mark Cassie lets him think that his guess is right. Ric tries to convince Sally there’s something going on, but when Sally asks Ben he says it’s typical of the way Cassie has always acted. Later, Ben approaches Cassie in the hospital room and she backs away from him.
Peter finds a return email from the Stalker inviting him to come out to the Abattoir…alone. When he gets out there he sees a black figure and whirls around, only to be whacked in the face with a piece of wood, his gun flying out of his hand. The Stalker’s got him!
