Extended Summary

Flynn’s lying at the bottom of the cliff – he’s not moving. It’s a long way down (and a very steep climb). Dan wants to go down to help, but Scott stops him before he gets ahead of himself. There’s no signal on Dan’s mobile, as Scott goes to the car for some rope and a first aid kit.

Ric comes down the stairs with his bags packed. Cassie tries to talk him out of leaving, but they end up arguing. Sally demands to know what’s going on and thinks Ric’s over-reacting. Ric argues that he can’t see a solution to their problems – but Sally persuades him to at least sleep on it.

Dan reaches the bottom of the cliff (via the rope). Flynn is pale and wincing in pain as he reveals a branch has impaled all the way through his abdomen. Without removing the stick, they need to bandage him up, stop the blood. Dan grabs the first aid kit and does as Flynn directs… The pain is starting to get to Flynn. Scott decides to go for help as Dan stays with Flynn.

Scott’s driving along at breakneck speed when he hits a rough part of the track and gets bogged. Try as he might, Scott can’t get the car free. In the distance he spots a blue car. Scott jumps out and starts to yell – but it’s too far away. Scott has no other option but to leave the car and make his way back into town on foot… Meanwhile, the pain is overwhelming and Flynn’s starting to get dizzy (from the loss of blood). He’s becoming increasingly groggy and Dan tries to distract him by getting him to talk about Sally, Pippa, Ric and Cassie. Flynn’s losing consciousness and wants Dan to pass on a message to Sally – in case he doesn’t make it. But Dan’s not going to let Flynn die!

Scott runs along the old dirt track, frantic and breathless when he spots a derelict house hidden in the bush. He runs up to it – calling out for help, but no one appears to be home. He moves further in to the house to keep looking and is stunned to come across a drug lab. But what’s more alarming is…he finds something of Peter’s on the floor! He rushes out of the house continuing his quest for help when he sees and waves down an old farmer in his Ute. Meanwhile, Flynn slips in to unconsciousness. Dan screams at him to wake up! But he doesn’t – Flynn is dying and Dan knows it. Dan tries to stop the bleeding again – if that bloody stick wasn’t there he could do something! His frustration gets the better of him and Dan grabs the stick with both hands … when he hears in the distance – Coo-ee! Help has arrived!

At home, Cassie is still trying to make and effort with Ric but he’s too stubborn to budge. Another argument breaks out and Sally and Leah try and keep the peace. They’re interrupted by a phone call. Sally’s face falls as she’s told about Flynn… Flynn is being tended by Dr Free as Sally, Leah, Ric and Cassie rush in. Sally moves to Flynn’s side. He’s very weak and can’t say much but he smiles when he sees her. Sally does her best to fight her tears – she’s not used to seeing Flynn like this and it scares her. Flynn tells her to stay strong before he is led off to surgery. Scott fills Dan in that he thinks he found the corrupt cop drug house. Dan can’t believe why hasn’t he said something, told the cops? Scott pulls Peter’s thing out of his pocket as he explains he hasn’t said anything because he found that there. Dan’s stunned! Sally’s frustration and fear start to get the better of her as there’s a big commotion. Nurse Julie and staff members start running into the operating theatre where Flynn is being operated on.

Later, Scott’s collecting the gear from the campsite when he spots the same blue car he saw earlier that day, turning down the old track that leads to the derelict house. Curious, Scott watches discreetly as Peter comes out of the house with a bag of drugs. Is Peter the corrupt cop?
