Extended Summary

Flynn arrives home from work, exhausted. Sally’s concerned the job is too much, but Flynn explains being a doctor is who he is. He if gives it up then it’s like admitting… Ric and Cassie want to help Flynn and decide that it’s time they made another of Flynn’s wishes come true… And when Sally and Flynn come back from shopping they’re stunned to see the family room transferred in to an Italian-mecca!

Hayley has filled Irene in on Scott’s job offer and admits that she loves the idea of living abroad… Irene senses a ‘but’. Hayley says of course there’s a ‘but’ – Kim. If there’s one thing Irene’s learnt over the years it’s that you can’t make life decisions based on other people… Hayley is left with food for thought. Meanwhile, Robbie opens the front door to see Tasha standing there with her suitcases! Thrilled, he takes her into his arms. Fun and laughter as the young lovers are re-united!

Kim sits in a tight silence, as Scott and Hayley reveal their plans to move abroad. What does Kim think? They’re looking to him, hopeful, willing this to work out… Kim speaks now, level and in control – he ‘thinks’ they must be out of their minds. They can forget about taking his son away from him because it won’t be happening – not now, not ever! Meanwhile, Tasha is quiet and distracted – and Robbie calls her on her mood. There’s something she wants to talk to him about and she’s not sure how to broach the subject. She wants to sell the apartment and move to the city – permanently. Robbie thought Tasha loved Summer Bay…? Tasha does, it’s just… Seeing her disappointment, Robbie is quick to jump in to say it’s not a bad idea – it’s just come as a bit of a surprise, that’s all. Tasha doesn’t want him to rush in to making a decision, but she would appreciate him considering it seriously… Robbie is left with major food for thought.

Flynn’s Italian lunch is going well and they’re all having a fantastic time together. Flynn watches his family, realising what a lucky man he is. Flynn tells Sally he’s been thinking about his work, and she’s right – maybe it is time that he stepped back. Sally wonders what’s changed his mind? Flynn explains that today changed his mind – being with her and the kids… He admits that he was wrong earlier when he said being a doctor is who is… This is who he actually is – a father, a husband… Sally holds her husband tight, knowing what a significant decision this has been for him to make… Meanwhile, Tasha’s speaking to someone on her mobile. She’s talking quietly, secretively – as she assures the person on the other end how bad she felt lying to Robbie… The person at the other end clearly says something re-assuring, because Tasha replies by saying that she knows she’s doing the right thing but it’s not easy keeping the whole story from Robbie. After a moment, Tasha hears a noise coming from the hallway. She quickly hangs up as Robbie emerges admits that Tasha is right – there is a whole new world out there for them to explore and experience. He thinks they should do it. Tasha wonders if Robbie’s sure? After all, he’d be leaving his family and home – and with Scott going, Beth might freak… But Robbie doesn’t think their decision should be affected by what Scott and Hayley are doing… He pulls Tasha in to a hug, both full of nervous anticipation at their big decision… But what is Tasha hiding?

Hayley tells Kim she and Scott won’t be changing their minds. But Kim pulls a letter from his pocket and passes it to Hayley and Scott, as he tells them he just had a meeting with his solicitor… That piece of paper is a court injunction, stopping them from leaving the country with his son. Hayley and Scott are left reeling…
