As the police investigation unfolds, Amanda angrily vows to discover the truth about who switched off Graham’s life support machine.

Extended Summary

Jack and Peter receive news that Graham Walter’s life support machine was turned off. Jack can’t understand it – Amanda has gone to so much trouble to get a court order to prevent this happening… But it wasn’t Amanda who made the decision – the machine was turned off illegally! They are looking for a murderer!

Beth, Matilda, Robbie and Kit are under the spotlight as suspects for Graham’s death. Tony can’t help but wonder if Beth did this to save her father from the money grabbing hands of Amanda…

Amanda is stunned to hear the news – what does this mean for Project 56? Josh is furious – this means Amanda doesn’t get a cent of his money! What are they going to do now? All of the lies and secrecy for absolutely nothing! She has put months of her life into this charade and now for what?

At the hospital, the Hunter’s are wondering what on earth happened?! Amanda is quick to arrive on the scene – she demands to know which one of them murdered her husband! An all out attack ensues with the Hunter’s retaliating to her accusations – how dare she?! They are even more stunned when Peter and Jack ask them all to come down to the station for questioning! Beth is completely outraged!

Beth was angry when she lost the fight to have her father’s life support turned off – she only wanted it to happen at Graham’s request. She was seen leaving Graham’s room having spent time with him alone… Beth denies having anything to do with his death – this is ridiculous! She doesn’t want her children being interviewed for such nonsense either – after all, their grandfather has just died. Peter is sorry, but it does have to happen.

The kids are all interviewed separately and asked how they feel about what is taking place… and their whereabouts at the time the machine was turned off. They were upset that they lost the court case to give grandad what he wanted… Robbie was out for a walk – no one saw him; Kit was walking at the Lighthouse; Matilda was down at the beach trying to clear her head… It could have been any of them – but they are all denying any involvement… One of them is lying…

The stress of the situation takes its toll on the family – Matilda is comforted by Lucas as she breaks down as Robbie watches on wishing he could make this mess all disappear. Tony checks on Beth – she can’t believe she and the kids were treated like criminals today – it’s her dad and their grandfather for crying out loud!

Meanwhile, Kit confronts Amanda and Josh. She recalls all of the horrid things that Amanda has done to her family and is now glad that his memory has been honoured despite Amanda’s best efforts to do otherwise. Having said her piece, Kit leaves abruptly – Amanda is left with the thought that Kit pulled the plug on Graham…

Tony admits to Jack that he suspects Beth may have taken part in Graham’s death. Tony doesn’t want Jack to say anything – but he’s a cop – this puts him between a rock and a hard place… Jack tells Peter his father’s suspicions and once again Beth is brought in for questioning – she can’t believe that Tony would go to Jack without having the courage to confront her about this himself!

Meanwhile, Robbie is lost in his own world, haunted with the memory of what he did yesterday afternoon… While visiting his Grandpa, he leant down to kiss him goodbye – tears in his eyes and hesitation in his heart, he switched off Graham’s life support!
