As Cassie and Macca grow ever closer, Ric discovers Macca’s drug stash. Jack’s plan to propose to Martha goes horribly wrong.

Jack is full of beans as he finishes his breakfast and Dan is the first to comment on his upbeat mood. Macca is trying to catch up some sleep looking every bit the opposite to Jack. The guys are a little bemused by Macca’s grumpy mood but little do they know he’s coming down from the pills he took last night. Jack moves off to meet Robbie and Tasha, he asks them if they are free tonight – he needs their help. Robbie and Tasha are intrigued and Jack reveals he is going to ask Martha to marry him!! Robbie and Tasha are thrilled! Jack explains after their impromptu chat about their future, he realised Martha is the one for him, so why wait! Jack wants to keep it an absolute surprise so to throw Martha off course, he will down play the whole idea of marriage. Tasha and Robbie couldn’t be happier for their mate. Back at home, Jack is kicking his plan in to action and mentions he has organised dinner with the “old married couple” Robbie and Tasha. He continues to add that marriage is outdated, all the while, Martha is becoming increasingly disturbed by his attitude. He adds that he wants kids, but what’s with all the wedding fuss? Martha can’t believe it – she’s dreamed of a wedding her whole life! Jacks smirks as Martha walks away – his plan is working!!
Tasha catches up with Martha, but Martha is a face of unhappiness. She expresses her concern about Jack’s negative marriage talk but Tasha is adamant Jack will warm to the idea – knowing too well what is happening tonight! Meanwhile, Jack is showing off the ring he has just bought for Martha and Robbie is thoroughly impressed – she is going to love it! The guys have been busy getting their dinner ready and the mood is set for a romantic evening. All that’s missing now is Martha! It’s getting late and Martha still hasn’t arrived. Jack is now seriously concerned Martha took his talk about marriage seriously. He and Robbie and Tasha agree to split up and search. Tasha finally tracks her down but Martha is now deeply upset. She insists she is going to break up with Jack – after all, what hope do they have if they don’t want the same future. Tasha races back to warn Jack, who is absolutely stunned. His plan has backfired in a major way! Jack mopes home – how could things turn so sour?! When he arrives home, he is greeted by Martha, who is looking as stunning as ever! She reveals she discovered his plan and wanted to get in first! Jack can’t believe it as Martha gets down on one knee and proposes! Martha and Jack are engaged!!
Cassie arrives to see Macca. She is full of energy but is quickly cut down by Macca’s grumpy and irritable mood. Cassie tries her best to buoy his spirits and mentions Colleen is having some birthday drinks at the Surf Club – he should come along. Macca snaps and Cassie can’t help but wonder what’s up with his strange mood. Later, Macca regrets taking his anger out on Cassie – he’s been a jerk! He pulls the bag of pills from his pocket, but what will he do?
Meanwhile, Colleen is full steam ahead and making certain just about everyone in the Bay has been informed of her birthday bash! She is especially excited because she has a hot date! Ronnie from the Bowls Club. The party kicks off and Colleen is having a wild old time with some bubbly in hand. She begins to wonder where her beau is – he’s usually so punctual! Cassie is nearby, checking her watch as she waits for Macca and just at that moment, he walks through the door – looking a million dollars and full of energy! He plants a big birthday kiss on Colleen and then heads over to Cassie, who is pleased to see the old Macca is back! If only she knew! Once again, Macca is the life of the party! Everyone is having fun, until the laughter is drowned out by Colleen who is just off the phone to Madge. Colleen reveals she rang Ronnie and Madge picked up the phone – they are out to dinner together. Madge has stolen her man! Colleen picks up another champers in outrage and downs it. Alf rolls his eyes – it’s going to be a long night!!
Ric subtly approaches Macca at the bar and comments on his amount of “high” energy – how does he do it? Macca bites back and warns Ric to stay out of his business, before storming off. The party is wrapping up and Colleen is a mess. Ric begins to help with clean up when he comes across Macca’s jacket. He picks it up and is curious of a packet of pills that falls out. Macca appears to collect his jacket, as Ric quickly stuffs the pills back in the pocket. Macca moves off unaware Ric now knows the truth! But will Ric expose Macca’s secret?
