Brad emerges from the surf and as he dries off he suddenly hears a voice behind him, mocking him about being unemployed. It’s Johnny. Brad tells him he’s going to get evidence to prove he’s up to no good. Johnny gives him a cold, hard stare, leaving a more determined Brad in his wake. He talks to Sally and Morag at the Diner about his encounter and his plans to bring him down. Sally reminds him that getting involved will only make things worse, which infuriates him – all he can do is sit around while Johnny messes with his life. Rocco walks in – feeling terrible about what the guys are doing to Brad and soon leaves to meet with Johnny and The Boys to discuss the armed robbery. Johnny covers the plan of attack, then asks Rocco if Brad has talked to him about everything – testing Rocco’s loyalty. He denies it, but suggests they lay off Brad for a while. Johnny tells him to stop being soft and be ready for the robbery or he’ll get beaten like last time… Next morning, Brad is coming out of the surf again when he sees a green 4 Wheel Drive go past him – Brad remembers it’s the same vehicle that ran him off the road last week, so leaps into his car and follows it. The 4 Wheel Drive pulls up into a driveway – leaving the garage door open. Brad decides to creep toward the house, hell bent on getting some proof. In the garage he finds a scrape of paint on the bumper bar, same colour as Brad’s – bingo! As he heads out, he hears Johnny yelling out to Tom. Brad freaks out and hides under the car as Brad and Tom move to the garage and discuss the car being used for the armed robbery. Tom’s the driver and they’re doing over a place in Yabbie Creek. Brad bumps something and makes a noise, getting Johnny’s attention. As Johnny bends down to look under the car – we think Brad will be caught – but there’s nothing under it… Brad has crouched beside the side wheel just in time and as soon as the pair move out – he bolts to his car – phew.
Brad heads to the police and tells Constable Ashton everything he heard – they head to Tom’s house. Ash looks in the garage – there’s a car alright – but not the same one. Damn! Ash asks Johnny down to the station for questioning – but he doesn’t give anything away. Ash says they’ll be searching his house – to find the blueprints of the robbery joint. At his house they don’t find a thing – Johnny is relieved – he doesn’t know who moved them, but they just saved him. Brad is fuming – Johnny gets away again. Later, Johnny meets up with The Boys and learns that Rocco overheard Sally and Brad talking and discovered that he’d seen Johnny at Tom’s house – Rocco then put two and two together and knew he had to get to Johnny’s to get rid of the plans, or he’d be busted. Johnny’s impressed and he knew his little bro would come good again. Meanwhile, a frustrated Brad, is taking the law into his own hands and cautiously makes his way up the side of Johnny’s house. Using his keys as a lever, he opens a window and sneaks his arm in to open the door. He lets himself in – has he just made the biggest mistake of his life?
