Drew struggles to cope with Amanda’s and Peter’s relationship. The Surf Club party ends in disaster when Drew gets out of control. Rocco and Tom’s plans to leave the gang have serious repercussions.

Drew is desperately trying to rouse Peter, who remains unconscious on the ground. He eventually gets help and Peter is taken to hospital, later Amanda races in Peter explains that he has suffered a mild concussion but will be okay. Drew returns home and Leah and Dan are instantly relieved to see him safe and sound. They clock his anxiousness and Drew explains what happened between him and Peter. Dan understands why Drew feels utterly betrayed but insists he can’t let the anger eat him up. Dan encourages Drew to at least hear his father out. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Amanda is fussing over Peter. He is deeply hurt that he has made Drew so upset. Bearing in mind Leah’s words, Amanda insists she will understand if her relationship can’t go on with Peter. She knows what it’s like to lose a daughter and doesn’t want him to lose his son. Peter insists he doesn’t want to lose Drew but he also doesn’t want to lose her either – he loves her so much. Peter tells Amanda he’d choose her every time but as he says this, unseen by both of them, Drew is standing in the doorway. It’s a kick in the guts for poor Drew! He storms into the room and tells his Dad so much for the second chance. Drew storms off, leaving Peter absolutely kicking himself.
Preparations for the school dance continue and everyone is reacting to the news Cassie is leaving. Sally tries to remain positive but notices Rocco being particularly subdued. Sally questions if Johnny has approached him again but Rocco is quick to cover. He is overwhelmed with guilt as Sally adds she is happy to have him as part of the family now. Rocco heads out on a mission to find Johnny.
Rocco arrives to find Johnny intimidating Tom who has just revealed he wants to leave the gang – and Johnny is not a happy man! Johnny insists the gang is not something he can just walk away from but Rocco is taking in Tom’s desire to leave with growing interest. The meeting with the boys begins as they discuss the plans for next week’s armed robbery. Once alone, Rocco admits to Tom he also wants to leave the gang and insists that if they do it together, they might be able to bring Johnny down. Tom is hesitant at first but then finally agrees. They set about concocting their plan to break into Johnny’s house and find incriminating evidence but will their plan succeed?
The school dance is underway and everyone is talking about Peter and Amanda being back together and Drew’s attack on his Dad. Things go silent as Drew arrives at the party. He is pretending he doesn’t care but when the others aren’t looking, he takes a bottle of alcohol from his jacket pocket and tips some it into his drink. Gradually, Drew becomes more tipsy as the night kicks on. Belle smells the alcohol and insists this isn’t going to help him deal with things. Drew remains defensive and tells her to mind her own business. Belle tells the others she’s concerned but as they try to intervene, things become a little heated. Drew, who’s now well and truly drunk, stumbles out into the darkness. He finds a car in the car park and sees the keys. He fumbles around and without hesitation, Drew drives off. Belle is shocked to see him fly past in the car – uh-oh – Drew’s in trouble now!
Meanwhile, Tom has broken into Johnny’s House and just when he has given up hope of finding any evidence, he spots some stolen goods and some handwritten plans for the armed robbery. Bingo! He grabs the gear and goes out through the window but as he spins around, he is shocked to find Johnny standing there before him! Uh-oh!
Rocco has left the school dance and is heading back to meet Tom – hoping he has found something at Johnny’s House. Rocco hears a noise behind him and is shocked to see it’s Johnny. Johnny insists they’ll now have to find a new driver – Tom has gone away for a little while. Rocco’s stomach churns. He knows exactly what Johnny’s done with Tom. Rocco plays along but as Johnny moves off, Rocco is overwhelmed with fear and guilt – there’s no escaping the gang now!
