Extended Summary
Kelli enters the house to hear tense voices in the kitchen. Peter is demanding that Amanda show him what’s hidden under the kitchen sink. Kelli has a fair idea what it is, so covers by saying it’s Peter’s wedding gift from Amanda – she didn’t want him to find it. Amanda is relieved, as is Peter. He thought it was something really serious… Little does he know. Peter moves off and Kelli asks what’s under there? Amanda reveals that it’s the morphine and Kelli feigns complete disbelief and anger as Amanda explains the situation that Kelli is already aware of. She has a go at Amanda for bowing to Ethan’s orders – what’s become of her? Amanda makes her promise she’ll keep it to herself – otherwise he’ll show Peter the photos.
Ethan rings Amanda – meet me at three with the stuff – the deal’s on. Kelli insists on coming with Amanda to the deal. Kelli meets up with Ethan before the deal – it’s all going to plan, follow my lead. Amanda is nervous as hell as she and Kelli drive to meet Ethan. They wait for the buyers to arrive. Meanwhile, at the Diner, Peter sits surrounded by wedding brochures. Dan approaches and is chuffed when Peter asks him to be his Best Man. If only he knew what his bride-to-be was up to right now. The drug dealer arrives and Amanda does the swap. The dealer soon leaves and Amanda wants to get out of there. Then Ethan spots Kelli and has a fit – who the hell is that?! Amanda runs for the car, terrified as Ethan gives chase. She jumps in as Ethan tries to grab her. She starts the engine and in a panic, hits the accelerator. Ethan loses balance and falls as the car swipes past him and he lands hard on the ground, bashing his head! He’s not moving. Kelli runs out and checks him for a pulse – nothing – he’s dead!
A rattled Amanda gets home – Kelli promises she’ll deal with the ‘body’. Then Peter appears with a woman – this is Faith, the wedding planner. He hired her to help Amanda – he hates seeing her so stressed. She plays along, freaking about the fact she just killed Ethan as Kelli goes and meets up with him. She tells him to lay low a few days, then returns to the distressed Amanda. Kelli lets her know that the body has been stashed in the bush – no one will find him for a very long time. Amanda thanks her sister – but Kel reminds her that there ‘in this together’ now. Amanda gets teary with gratitude – what would she do without her?! Kelli’s devious smile reappears. She’s got her big sis hook, line and sinker…
Rachel explains to Leah that she and Kim have the afternoon off. They’re really enjoying each others company again, after all the baby stresses and plan to have a relaxing few hours together today. This is shattered when Colleen flies in all a dither – the Hospital Ball is on tonight and due to a venue issue, it’s been relocated. She needs all hands on deck to help her set up at the Surf Club. Rachel is cornered and has to help out. So much for her afternoon with Kim. Meanwhile, Tony takes a message for Kit from a guy called James. Turns out he’s an old uni boyfriend of Kit’s. Kim is about to run to organise his arvo with Rachel, when Colleen runs in and recruits Kim and Tony to help with the Ball. They’re all trapped.
During the working bee for the Ball, Kit keeps getting messages and calls from James and hanging up on them. Why’s she so weird about this guy? Spirits are wilting as Colleen continues her bossy tirade, then Kim gets an idea. He fakes a fall and pretends to hurt his ankle. Soon everyone catches on – they all need to help in some way to get the hell out of the Surf Club and away from Colleen. Kim and Rachel get their afternoon together after all. All is back on track for the pair after a rocky patch and things couldn’t look better.
