Belle is devastated when Amanda breaks her promise to stop drinking. Hugh helps Rachel and Kim get their relationship back on track.

Kelli is updating Ethan on the latest developments of their evil plan and revels in the thought that not even Amanda’s children want anything to do with her. Kelli returns home to Amanda, who is now seriously regretting her heated words with Belle. Kelli insists Belle is the one who should apologise for undermining her mother. But Amanda can’t be consoled and picks up her bag and storms out, ready for a mission…
Meanwhile, Belle is in the Diner pouring her heart to Peter. Amanda arrives and is pulled up short by the sight of Peter comforting Belle. But despite her tension with Peter, Amanda apologises profusely to Belle. Belle isn’t interested in what she has to say and Amanda has no choice but to move off, feeling completely defeated. Amanda later calls on Irene’s help. Irene has a talk to Belle and insists she should at least hear her mother out. Irene knows what it’s like to have her kids turn their back on her. Belle understands and arrives on Amanda’s doorstep to talk to he Mum. Amanda promises she will never drink again and she will prove to Belle she is a good mother. Belle is happy with the arrangement and they hug – happily reunited. Kelli, however, listens on with growing concern… this was not part of the plan!
Belle awakes the following morning and is horrified by the sight of Amanda sprawled out on the lounge, surrounded by empty bottles. Amanda stirs and clutches her throbbing head. Belle starts ripping into her but Amanda becomes increasingly distressed – unable to remember a thing.
Rachel confides in Hugh that things are still tense between her and Kim since their blow up about James last week. Hugh decides to organise a romantic picnic for the troubled couple to help them get their relationship back on track. Rachel arrives and is touched by Hugh’s wonderful gift… but there is no sign of Kim. Time ticks by and they realise Kim is at birthing classes with Kit and doesn’t have his phone with him. With no sign of Kim, Hugh and Rachel decide to wait for Kimat the Surf Club Bar , Hugh and Rachel settle down and enjoy it. They are having a great old time reminiscing by the time Kim returns. Hugh heads off leaving Rachel and Kim to sort things out. They reaffirm their love for one another. Kim pulls her into a hug but it’s clear her mind is elsewhere… as is Hugh, who sits with a coffee at the Diner, pondering on what he is missing out on with Rachel.
