A brutal attack leaves the Bay in shock. Jazz resorts to blackmail to protect her secret. Belle’s big mouth costs her dearly.
Extended Summary
As the concert draws to a close, Belle gets into a scrag fight and her bag is stolen. Dom intercedes and retrieves the bag, but Belle later discovers her wallet and Jazz’s pendant are missing. Belle’s dismay is compounded by the fact that Drew ‘borrowed’ the pendant without Jazz’s knowledge. Luckily, Dom finds both the wallet and the pendant and returns them to Belle, who is extremely relieved and grateful. Both she and Drew are left wondering if perhaps Dom isn’t as bad as they first thought. But unbeknownst to them, Dom has kept a photo from the wallet. We see him looking longingly at the image of Belle – clearly besotted…
Jazz’s solicitor, Dane, is getting more and more frustrated over Jazz’s decision to keep Drew’s inheritance a secret. She claims she wants to get closer to Drew before his life is turned upside-down by his inheritance. But Dane thinks she’s just using Drew to get her hands on the money. She initially tries to blackmail him into keeping quiet, but later realises telling Drew is the right thing to do. However, just as she’s about to tell Drew everything, he gives her a hug for being so understanding over the missing pendant. Not wanting to ruin the moment, Jazz decides to remain quiet.
Meanwhile, Rachel arrives home to discover some of her pot plants have been smashed. Unsettled, she goes next door in the hope Tony might have heard something. He hasn’t, so the damage remains a mystery. Worried that Tony might be mistaking her friendship for something more, Rachel decides to set him up on a date with Nurse Julie. Julie had borrowed Rachel’s car to meet with Tony. At the last moment, Tony realizes he can’t go through with it. He explains to Julie that he’s still dealing with Beth’s death and is not ready for dating. Later that night, Rachel is shocked to discover Julie was assaulted in the car park of the hospital on her way to work. Who would do such a thing?
