Denni hatches a plan to force Drew to race him. A dishevelled Lisa is seen leaving Drew’s bedroom. Fisher enlists help from an unexpected source to improve his computer skills.
Extended Summary
Drew has told Denni that he won’t race him, and he and Ric arrive at Amanda’s house discussing an earlier run-in they had with Lisa. She wasn’t pleased by Drew’s decision and seems determined to make him pay for dumping her all those months ago. Denni’s determined to race Drew and, when the next day Drew realises that his car has been stolen, Denni’s grand plan is revealed.
If Drew doesn’t race him he’ll never see his car again. The race is back on for that night and it seems Drew has no serious option but to take part. Not only does Drew have to race, but he needs to win too, otherwise he loses his car. Lisa isn’t the most popular girl in Summer Bay at the moment, but Lucas remembers a nicer side to her, and tries to get her to change her attitude – sadly with little effect.
Ric is adamant that Drew needs to keep Belle abreast of developments regarding Lisa turning up in Drew’s house. Drew is keen that Belle knows Lisa is out for revenge and that the whole thing is a vengeful deceit on her part, but he’s not so keen to keep her posted about the “on again, off again” car race. Dom is only to keen to fill the void that Drew leaves. Still desperate to have his own relationship with Belle, Dom concocts a number of lies and feeds them to Belle in an attempt to drive a wedge between her and Drew. And so far he seems to be succeeding.
Fisher isn’t finding being back teaching as easy as he thought it would be. The problem is that technology has roared ahead in the five years he’s been away, and his lack of computer literacy is becoming difficult to hide.
Fisher, too proud to admit he needs some help to get across computer science, tries a number of ways to surreptitiously pick up some skills, but all to no avail. He finally has to bite the bullet and ask Lucas to tutor him in the basic skills. He’ll pay Lucas for each class, but he still tries to keep his pride intact by demanding that Lucas tells no one about their arrangement.
