Extended Summary
While Sam is keen to start looking for a home to buy with Jack, he is secretly wrestling with his conscience over what to do about crooked cop George. Jack almost comes clean to McGrath about the missing evidence, but backs down at the last moment after hearing Fitzy praise him as a good friend and cop. Meanwhile, Leah is excited over Dan’s imminent return. He’s only been away for two weeks on the school excursion, but it feels like months to her. Before he arrives at the Diner, she decides to spice things up a little, stripping down to just black stockings and her apron and putting on some seductive music. But it’s Leah who gets the biggest surprise of all – Dan arrives with a bunch of students in tow. Poor Leah is left mortified.
Drew can’t believe his mother has managed to get her hooks back into Tony. Drew’s worried she’s using him after losing out on the inheritance and Kevin. He tries to convince Tony of this, but has little success. It’s not until Jazz baulks at Jack’s dinner invitation that Tony begins to worry about her long-term plans. He makes it clear to her that he’s hoping they might have a future together. When he realises she is unable to make any form of commitment to their future, he walks out on her.
Having found out Jazz tried to poison Belle against him, Drew decides to take action. He and Belle sabotage Jazz’s fuse box, plunging her house into darkness. Drew and Belle plan to do this over and over until Jazz gets the hint and moves out. However, the plan goes horribly wrong when a fallen candle sets the house alight. Jazz is fast asleep on the couch as the house burns… Will she survive?
