Extended Summary
A frantic Drew continues to look for Belle, unaware that Dom has abducted her. Drew searches around the petrol station before returning to his car with a can of gas, hoping she’ll be back there. She’s not, and he returns to the gas station and then back to the Bay.
Meanwhile, Dom has taken Belle to an isolated fishing shack that his Uncle Ray used to take him to as a kid. Once there, Dom’s plans for Belle become clear. He’s researched her likes and dislikes, from her myspace page, and while he has locks on the door and bars on the windows, Dom has filled the shack with things he knows Belle will like. He cares about her and is intent to pick up from where he thinks they left off before he went to prison. They’d kissed and Dom believes they’d both felt something at the time, even though Belle had only done it to get Dom to own up to the stolen parts racket and get Drew off the hook.
Dom tries to prove himself to Belle. He prepares her favourite meal and gives her a “vintage” ring that he thinks she’d adore. She does. Belle manages to get a two word SMS off to Drew before Dom destroys her phone. Dom wants them to kiss again – to see if the magic is indeed there – and Belle sees a chance to broker her escape. She’ll kiss Dom if he agrees to let her go if she doesn’t get a zing out of it.
Drew arrives back in the Bay to find Belle’s not there. He gets her SMS and now knows that she’s with Dom. He enlists Irene’s help and they go to the police, but it’s too early to mount a missing person’s search. Drew then calls Dom’s Uncle Ray over to the diner and heavies him. Ray eventually reveals the existence of the fishing shack and Drew’s convinced that that’s where Dom has Belle.
Belle and Dom are kissing, and there may well be some chemistry, when Drew arrives and breaks in to rescue Belle. Drew beats up Dom, but he still follows them out to the car and tries to stop Belle leaving. Drew runs him down in his car and takes off, but Belle eventually talks Drew into returning to see if Dom needs help. He could be badly injured or worse. Drew reluctantly returns only to find a pool of blood outside the shack, but no sign of Dom.
Dan is becoming increasingly frustrated that Leah seems to be dodging every opportunity to discuss the potential move to the USA. Leah is stalling – she loves her life in the Bay – and it’s a huge decision. Certainly not one she wants to get wrong.
