Belle’s re-written article paints Sally as a villain. Things with Roman and Martha heat up. Will Drew make Belle choose between him and her job?
MORAG BELLINGHAM (CORNELIA FRANCES)
Extended Summary
Belle tells Sally she has been given the task of interviewing her over being sacked as principal. Sally thinks quickly and decides to use the interview as a forum for explaining her side of the story as Belle happily agrees.
Drew is feeling like Belle’s job at the paper takes precedence over the rest of her life; including him. To show Drew that she is a journalist with morals, Belle shows Drew the article. He is relieved to find that Belle’s article praises Sally for her work as a principal and for now it looks like this couple’s troubles are behind them.
Things quickly turn sour again as the article is published and it’s revealed that Gavin has rewritten it, painting Sally as the villain – with the headline reading “Sacked principal leaves school in crisis”. This adds fuel to the fire raging between Belle and Drew, especially for Drew who has already expressed his uncertainty towards Belle’s commitment to the relationship.
Prompted by Roman’s teasing, Geoff’s has the realisation that the girls of Summer Bay like to check him out. How will he handle this attention?
Without making her date with Roman look like a real date, Martha invites Morag to join them as a chaperone. The night goes well and after a bit of ‘not so subtle’ hinting from Martha, Morag leaves them alone. Roman and Martha get to know each other even better over a few kisses.
