Geoff finally admits his true feelings to Melody. Ric is forced to consider Noel’s dangerous proposition.
Extended Summary
It’s the opening of the Pier Diner but Colleen’s guilt over incriminating Martha is making her unbearable to work with. Everything is too much for her to deal with… First her new found family don’t want her and now she’s caused huge problems for Martha, as well as constantly knocking things over and breaking crockery which is the last straw – and Colleen quits. Leah steps in taking the supportive role – talking Colleen back into her senses – convincing her she doesn’t have to be a Stewart to be appreciated.
Geoff, meanwhile, is still unsure how to handle Melody. Matilda suggests the best thing to do is tell Melody the truth, even if it does hurt her feelings. Melody is becoming more and more intense with the situation, bringing gifts to school for Geoff and even a poem. The poem falls into the hands of other students, who not only embarrass Melody by reading it out in front of their entire class, but reveal to her they found it in the bin. Clearly Geoff had thrown it out. Melody, hurt, approaches Geoff about the situation. In his frustration, he insensitively unleashes his thoughts on Melody, telling her to leave him alone and to stop stalking him! To which she is utterly devastated.
Ric’s financial problems are sending him into a world of trouble. Unable to pay his bills or find a job, there is only one option left for him – Noel’s proposal. Noel was counting on this with the fight arranged for the following night but will Ric go through with it?
