Matilda’s shocked by Ric’s deception. Geoff’s worried he’s made a huge mistake with Melody. Tony’s romantic evening with Rachel takes a surprising turn.
Extended Summary
Geoff is unsure about his decision to take Melody on a date – was it just a knee-jerk reaction after seeing how superficial Nicole was? However, despite a rocky start, their date goes well and it looks like the pair will definitely be seeing more of each other.
The discovery of a note from Jack almost derails Tony’s plans for Rachel. In the note Jack gives Tony an ultimatum – accept his re-coupling with Martha, or else! Tony is thrown, and so Rachel suggests they give dinner a miss. Tony, however, is adamant they should go out tonight. He’s secretly got something special planned, and he doesn’t want anything ruining it.
After a romantic dinner, Tony tells Rachel how much he loves her and asks her to marry him. Rachel is stunned at first, and Tony worries she’s going to say no. She explains that after everything that’s happened recently, she’s worried he’s rushing into this for the wrong reasons. Tony allays her fears, saying this isn’t a knee-jerk reaction, it’s something he’s been planning for ages. Rachel beams and finally accepts his proposal. Tony and Rachel are getting married!
Morag is still furious at the thought of Jack and Martha being back together, which angers Alf. He approaches Morag about the situation and explains he really thinks this time they can make it work. Morag, however, doesn’t believe it will last and is disappointed that Martha’s thrown away any chance of getting back with Roman. Alf is unaware of the deeper issue that’s fuelling Morag’s unrest – a feeling of abandonment from her family.
Matilda is shocked to discover that Ric is planning on multiple fights – not just the one they agreed upon. When she tries to engage him on the issue, he gets aggressive and tensions rise. Realsing he’s in the wrong, Ric eventually apologises for his behaviour, and admits that his involvement in the fighting has been having a negative effect on his behaviour – and their relationship. The pair sort out their differences and are left in a positive space… However, they are unaware exactly who Noel has lined up to fight Ric. It’s Logan, a member of Johnny Cooper’s gang, and he’s not just out to win the fight, he’s out for Ric’s blood!
