Extended Summary
Morag is not interested in hearing Jack and Martha try to convince her they’ve made the right decision to get back together, but as they refuse to let her leave for her date until she listens, she’s left with little choice. They admit that they’ve been falling in and out of love since they met, and that they’ve both made their share of mistakes, but now they feel they’re finally ready to do things properly, and though they’re going ahead no matter what, they’d prefer to do it with Morag’s blessing. But Morag’s not falling for a word of it, convinced this is just another disaster waiting to happen that Martha doesn’t need and she’d rather not watch.
With neither party willing to budge, Morag suggests that until she’s proven right or wrong, it would be best if they stayed away, and Jack and Martha give up. Meanwhile, as Ross arrives at the Diner for the date, Irene does everything in her power to keep Colleen to herself, but she can only keep it up so long, and when Morag arrives she’s furious to find Colleen pestering Ross. Tense after her visit from Jack and Martha, and nervous about her date, Morag is having a hard time relaxing, and Colleen’s presence is grating more than ever. Eventually her close proximity grows too much to bear, and Morag lets loose exactly what she thinks, in front of the whole Diner, to Colleen’s teary horror and despair. Far from saving her date, Morag has only reminded Ross of the other side to her. But has she sabotaged her chances with him for good?
After the disaster that was their meeting with Morag, Martha is still determined to visit Tony as well, eager to know where she and Jack stand now with the people in their lives. But unlike her aunty, Tony is only too willing to give them his blessing, on the condition that this time they don’t muck things up. It’s hard to be mad at them after him just getting engaged to Rachel.
Irene’s not happy when Annie arrives at the Den wearing the clothes Nicole gave her, it’s bad enough that, in her view, Nicole is after Geoff, without setting herself up as a role model for Annie. But though Geoff has completely fallen for Nicole’s act, convinced his initial judgement was off, it hasn’t had any effect yet, and he’s still crazy about Melody. After walking her home, the young couple share their first kiss. It’s an awkward, fumbled affair, but things are going well between them.
