Is there another woman in Ross’ life? Will the Diner survive a review by Gavin? Ric and Matilda just cant find any time to themselves.
Extended Summary
Looking forward to a day to themselves, Ric and Matilda head out to a secluded beach for a romantic picnic. And find Morag and Ross already there. Though both couples would prefer to go their separate ways, good manners soon have them spending the day together.
When Ric and Matilda get home, it seems at least as if they might have the house to themselves, but no sooner have they gotten settled when Alf and Miles arrive. Thwarted again, the young couple decide to try their luck with dinner at the Diner. And wind up sharing a table with Ross and Morag due to overcrowding.
The Coastal News is reviewing the new Diner, and they’re short staffed. With only Roman and Colleen on board, it seems things could go badly, especially when Gavin arrives. Worried that Gavin, still bent out of shape after his confrontation with Leah over the Den, will take it out on them, the pair decide to do whatever it takes. But Colleen is so flustered she ignores the other customers, focussing entirely on Gavin, to his irritation as well as theirs.
Finally it becomes too much, and he leaves before beginning his meal. To Leah’s surprise he soon arrives next door at the Den, and explains that the reason he came tonight was because his boss wants him to apologise in person. That’s good news for Leah, but not so good for the Diner when they learn that it was Morag doing the review all along. But despite having been ignored all night by Colleen, the food was good, and she assures it will be a positive review. The new Diner has passed its first test.
After a barrage of mysterious calls all day, Ross tells the caller to stop calling, before assuring them that he still loves them. Does Morag have something to worry about? Is there another woman in Ross’ life?
