With Axel hospitalised, could Geoff really be capable of such brutality? Ross’s daughter arrives in Summer Bay. Could there be chemistry between Belle and Aden?
Extended Summary
After a near miss with a rather rude young lady on the road, Morag is surprised when she shows up at the diner looking for her.. But that’s nothing compared to her surprise when she learns that this young lady is Ross’s daughter Charlie, and she’s come to Summer Bay to put an end to Ross and Morag herself.
Hospitalised after his beating, Axel is in a bad way. When Geoff hears that Axel is in hospital, he shows no sign of surprise. Could Geoff really have done it? But Belle comes to another conclusion, and she’s right. It was Aden. Geoff saw him do it, but didn’t stop it. When he confesses everything to Tony, Tony insists they let Christine know what happened to Melody. But Christine doesn’t believe him, and Melody, still wanting just to forget about it, denies anything happened.
Concerned, Geoff sneaks back to Melody’s house, and Christine catches him talking to her. Finally Melody finds the courage to tell her mother the truth, but far from showing a mother’s comfort, Christine decides it’s best to wipe everything under the rug. Geoff can hardly believe it, and even Melody is taken aback that her mother could be so callus. Driven, if anything, by her mother’s lack of understanding, Melody decides to go to the police.
Belle can’t believe Aden’s lack of remorse after what he did to his best friend, and he’s not willing to explain how deeply he understands what Melody’s been put through. Nicole sees it as an opportunity to put a wedge between the pair, but to Nicole’s hurt, Belle’s intrigue about Aden’s real reasons for being so brutal only bring the two closer together.
