Aden and Belle’s relationship blossoms. Irene and Roman put an interesting proposal to Leah. Will Melody ever be the same again?
Extended Summary
Melody is still struggling to move on after what happened with Axel. Geoff wants to see her happy and normal again and asks her over for dinner at the Beach House. When she arrives to find out the whole family will be joining them, anxiety overcomes her and she hurries out of the house leaving Geoff startled and hurt. He later finds her and she tearfully explains how her life has changed since the Axel incident. Geoff’s attempts to comfort her fail, and Melody says that although she will always love him, she just can’t be with him anymore. Geoff is left heartbroken and shattered.
Nicole is growing jealous over Aden’s flirtations with Belle and when she sees the two of them together after Aden had told her he’d be visiting his Dad, she can’t hide her infuriation. She confronts a bemused Belle and later, Aden. Aden suddenly realises why she is behaving this way – she’s got the hots for him! Angry over her earlier tirade at Belle he taunts her and nastily tells her to stay out of his life, leaving her crushed.
The truth is that Aden and Belle are getting closer by the minute and he has taken to sneaking into her room through the window for passionate kisses. After Aden’s outburst, a tearful Nicole heads to the beach where she opens up to Geoff about what happened. Geoff confides in her about Melody breaking up with him and the two distressed teens are able to comfort each other.
Irene is busy trying to solve other people’s problems, including Leah’s financial difficulties. She and Roman put an interesting proposal to Leah; to move the Diner into the Den; more tables equals more business! Leah is over the moon and overwhelmed by their amazing support.
Irene also tries to help out Kirsty by visiting the gaol in an attempt to persuade Kane to see his wife. Eventually, Kirsty gets her chance to see him, only to be told by Kane to forget about him. Kane can’t stand to think of her waiting around for years while he is in prison and he doesn’t want Ollie to see him behind bars. After an emotional embrace, Kane takes off his wedding band and places it in Kirsty’s hand before being led away. Kirsty is distraught and breaks down. How can this be the end?
