Extended Summary

After Aden’s outburst at Belle whilst they were getting it on, she’s been left hurt, angry and confused. She can’t understand why he would call her a skank whilst she’s only ever had serious relationships with the guys she’s been involved with. When Nicole tells her that Aden ran a mile when she tried it on with him, Belle begins processing and thinks she has hit on the truth – Aden is a virgin and doesn’t want people to know in case it shatters his ‘stud’ image. When she confronts him about it, he is evasive and tells her she should accept that he doesn’t want to see her any more (he can’t bear to tell her the real reason – that he was abused by his grandfather). Belle is more wounded than ever and this is the final straw for her – there is nothing to salvage in their relationship now.

Roman is still not happy with Elliot hanging around Nicole and is sceptical to why Elliot has moved to Summer Bay. Knowing he’s forming a closeness with Nicole is making him edgy. When he catches Nicole showing an over-interested Elliot his medal for valour, won when he was fighting alongside Elliot’s brother, Roman seems even more perturbed by Elliot’s presence. Nervous of his intentions, Roman decides to ask Charlie to run some checks on him – there must be something in his background that Roman can use to tackle this head-on.

Despite Roman’s level of concern for his daughter, Charlie is not happy with Roman’s request. She’s already feeling sidelined to make way for the other people in his life and had been hoping he wanted to see her in more of a personal than professional capacity. Will she put her feelings aside to help him out?

Martha goes ahead with the amniocentesis. She and Jack have left Roman in the dark about testing for the baby’s paternity. However, it seems the paternity of the baby is not the only thing on Martha’s mind. How her chest looks and feels now is going to take some getting used to – and she’s certainly not ready for Jack to see.
