Is there more to Elliot than meets the eye? Rachel’s patient is getting too close for comfort. Roman’s worried about his daughter.
Extended Summary
When Ruby sees the sign for Elliot’s free diving lessons, she’s keen to sign up, but Geoff’s not interested in anything related to Elliot. After learning that Nicole will be doing the class as well, however, Geoff agrees to give it a go. Elliot’s not pleased that Nicole’s invited them along, but has little choice but to accept them. It all seems to be going well enough, until, when Nicole starts having trouble breathing, Elliot holds her underwater, apparently to force her to stop holding her breath. At Geoff’s firm behest, he eventually lets her up, but not before unsettling the others. Though freaked by the experience, Nicole accepts Elliot’s explanation. Then when Geoff picks up Nicole’s oxygen tank, Elliot goes ballistic, telling them not to touch any equipment unless told, and finally banning Geoff and Ruby from the lesson.
As if Charlie’s confession that she might be falling in love with him wasn’t enough, Roman’s worried about the amount of time Nicole’s been spending with Elliot. Though he can’t say why, he has an instinctive distrust of Elliot, only solidified by various comments from Elliot that could be veiled threats. When Geoff comes to Roman with his own worries, they only tip Roman further. He’s starting to lose his cool over this.
Tony and Rachel learn that his reverse vasectomy was a complete success, and with their wedding looming, it looks like everything is going well for them. But as they go through wedding plans, Rachel is unusually blasé, seemingly unfussed about the details of what should be the happiest day of her life. Having learned of Tony and Rachel’s plans, Jimmy, one of Rachel’s psych patients, begs her not to go on honeymoon because she’s the only one who can treat him, and his friend. Rachel does her best to firmly assert the professional nature of their relationship, and he’s not happy about it. Disquieted, Rachel asks that, next time he’s in hospital, somebody else treat him. Then, that night as Tony and Rachel finally get some time together at home, Rachel is frightened by a glance of someone watching them through the glass of the door, but when Tony investigates, nobody is there. As they fall back into their embrace, the voyeur is revealed: Jimmy.
