Extended Summary
The frustration of not being able to contact Tony is really taking its toll on Rachel. When Jack rings to tell her that Tony has finally been in touch and is on his way back to Summer Bay, she is thrilled to soon be reunited. Tony arrives back with the misery and pain of the last couple of weeks still etched on his face. He is however clearly over the moon to see Rachel, especially knowing that she didn’t leave him at the altar after all. The couple has an emotional and passionate reunion.
Aden is not getting on well in his first counselling session and is more interested in finding out about Melody than he is in talking about what happened to him. When Melody’s father sees that Aden is staying at the clinic too, he asks him to stay away from his daughter as his very presence could have an effect on her recovery. But it seems that the opposite might be true – Melody later comes to Aden’s room and tells him that she is evil because she prayed for Axel to die and her prayer seemed to come true. The strange thing is her father told Roman she hadn’t uttered a word to anyone since Axel’s death, so why would she choose to open up to Aden?
Nicole is home from hospital and seems to have bonded with Roman over their recent traumas with Elliot. Roman opens up further telling her that he was the father of Martha’s baby. Meanwhile, Geoff is having a moral dilemma about sleeping with Nicole on the island while Nicole is obviously keen to do it again. Roman and Irene both suspect there is something going on with them and he suggests to Nicole that she tries to take things slowly for a while, given Geoff’s inexperience with relationships. Nicole has picked up on Geoff’s dilemma and thinks he is going to dump her, instead he shocks her by saying something completely unexpected – ‘I think we should get married’. How will Nicole respond to this?
