Can Kirsty deal with Bartlett and keep her job? Is it too late for Roman and Charlie? Ruby develops a crush on her teacher.
Extended Summary
Bartlett is getting more obvious in his interest in Kirsty and passes off his jealousy of Miles as concern for her. When Kirsty happens to mention that she has a sore neck, Bartlett is quick to offer a massage and goes ahead despite her reluctance. Her fears that his interest in her is more than professional deepen when he asks her to work late and then insists they have a drink together afterwards. Kirsty is now officially creeped out, but how will she deal with this situation if she wants to keep her job?
Angelo goes all out for his date with Charlie – a starlight picnic on the beach. Charlie is determined to have a good time but just can’t stop thinking about Roman. Angelo isn’t fooled by the fake smiles and eventually encourages her to open up to him about Roman. Graciously, despite admitting that he wouldn’t let her out of his sight if he was Roman, he says she should tell Roman that she doesn’t want a casual relationship – it’s all or nothing. At least she would know where she stood with him. Meanwhile, Roman realises that he wants more from their relationship but thinks he’s left it too late.
Despite a bout of miscommunications between the two as well as meddling from a well-intentioned Ruby, the couple eventually come together and realise what they both want – a proper relationship. Relieved, they fall into a long and passionate kiss. They are back on!
Meanwhile, Ruby feels like a third wheel when it comes to Annie and Jai. Ruby finds herself spending a lot of time helping Miles with preparations for the Surf Carnival and he is unaware that Ruby is developing a pretty serious crush on him.
