Has Kirsty seen the end of Bartlett’s behaviour? Is romance blossoming between Angelo and Belle? Ruby’s crush escalates.
Extended Summary
Kirsty is now officially freaked out by Bartlett’s behaviour! When she realises how much it is affecting her mood she confides in Leah who tells her the time has come to do something about it. When Kirsty diplomatically raises the issue with Bartlett he says he is mortified that she would feel uncomfortable about their relationship. He seems genuine enough and it feels like a huge weight has been lifted from Kirsty’s shoulders – but when we see Bartlett enquiring about the very motorbike Kirsty had previously told him she loved, we wonder if she hasn’t seen the end of his inappropriate behaviour yet.
Angelo may have missed out on Charlie but things are looking up when he sees Belle in the Surf Club and the pair share a few drinks together. Belle tells him that she is starting up a book club to stop her thinking about recent events. However, the first meeting is a disaster with no-one turning up except Angelo. But Angelo is in good spirits and is determined to lift hers and show her a good night. Belle has one too many drinks and Angelo, ever the gentleman, takes her home, tucking her into bed tenderly before heading home himself. Could a romance with Angelo be just what Belle needs to take her mind off of Aden?
Annie is conscious of Ruby feeling left out around her and Jai and decides that they need to make a real effort to include her at the Surf Carnival. The Carnival goes off without a hitch and despite her nerves, Martha does a great job speaking at the opening, making everyone proud. Annie doesn’t notice that Ruby would far rather be spending time with Miles than hanging out with them – that is until Jai points out to her that maybe Ruby has a crush on him. An annoyed Ruby tells them to mind their own business when they ask her about it, but when Miles heroically rescues her from a bag snatcher, it fuels her crush on him and we can see that her feelings for him are not going away any time soon.
