Melody’s getting worse. Aden struggles to re-adjust to life outside the clinic. Ross’s condition is worse than Morag suspected.

Extended Summary

Though Morag has finally taken Ross to hospital, his memory lapses seem to be growing more frequent. Rachel’s worst suspicions that it may be Alzheimer’s disease are well founded, and the tests come back positive. It’s a heart breaking situation. Though the right medication can slow the process, nothing can stop it. Morag, Charlie and Ruby can only wait and watch, and do their best to be there for Ross in every way they can.

With Aden being released from the clinic, Belle’s nervous about how things will pan out now she’s with Angelo. But when she bumps into him, he insists he’s fine with her choice, and promises not to cause them any trouble. Then when she comes across him laughing and half naked in the Surf Club, stripping for a nuddy run after losing a bet with Nicole, it seems like he really is happy with the way things have turned out. But in truth it’s all an act, Aden is having a much harder time readjusting to life outside the clinic than he’s willing to let on.

Just as it seemed like Melody might be getting better, she’s become convinced that Axel’s come to the clinic to get her, seemingly unaware that he’s dead. Meanwhile, Christine’s back from New Zealand. Frustrated that she’s still not allowed to see Melody, she passes a bible on to Annie to give to her daughter, asking her not to say where it came from. But when Annie hands it over, Melody knows exactly who it’s from, and far from taking comfort in it, she begins scrawling all over the pages.

When Christine hears how far Melody has deteriorated, she blames it on the clinic. Realising the mistake she’s made by telling Christine, Annie goes to Geoff, but when they arrive at the clinic, Melody is already gone, checked out by her mother.
