Extended Summary

After a week of worrying and a shaky start, Alf’s date with Bridget turns out brilliantly. At first she’s not to keen with the fancy restaurant Alf has booked, but he himself is far happier with her idea of simply going to the Surf Club for a few beers. He could really get to like this woman.

Geoff’s taken aback when Nicole suddenly becomes rude and resentful of the amount of time he’s spent helping Melody. He doesn’t understand what he could have done to anger her until he accidentally bumps into her, exposing the home pregnancy kit in her back. Suddenly understanding, Geoff’s as panicked as she is. But to much relief, the test turns out negative, and his willingness to step in as a father should things have gone otherwise brings the two closer together as friends.

Miles can see that Kirsty is worried about something, but she’s unwilling to share the truth about the letter from Kane. Instead, she shows it to Irene. Kane has decided he wants to appeal his sentence, and since legal aid will take so long he wants Kirsty to pay for a lawyer, hence the money she borrowed from Bartlett. As his wife, she feels she has no choice but to do as he asks, though it couldn’t come at a worse time, just as things with Miles are going so well.

Things aren’t going well between Belle and Aden at work. Though Belle wants to be friends, for Aden, it’s all or nothing, if she doesn’t want to be with him, he doesn’t want anything to do with her. Even so, Belle’s taken aback when she finds out he’s quit. Even more so when she hears he’s on his way to get a job as a labourer at the development site. She catches up with him just after he gets the job. She can’t believe he’d side with her enemy, but for him, it’s just a job, and he doesn’t care what she thinks.

As soon as Belle turned up, the foreman recognises her. He’s soon on the phone to a mysterious boss to report that she’s back, and as if something needs to be done about her. What’s really going on, and is Belle in danger?
