What is Bridget hiding? Is Kirsty going too far to help Kane? Ruby’s after revenge.
Extended Summary
Having decided to move back in with Morag, Ross has one more big decision to make. He wants his daughters to remember him as he was, not to have to watch him as he slowly loses his mind. So he wants to move away and let them live their lives without having to worry about him. Finally understanding him, Charlie backs whatever decision he makes, but Ruby is hurt and upset by the decision.
Having discovered that Mathew is Sky, Jai and Annie confront him, but meets only denial. Then when Annie goes to tell Ruby, she learns of Ross’ plans to move out, and doesn’t want to upset Ruby any more. But when Mathew sees Ruby next, he assumes she already knows, and launches into an apology, inadvertently giving himself away.
Ruby is too shocked and hurt even to get mad at first, but quickly devises a way to get back at him. Next time she sees Mathew, she’s all smiles and flirtation, insisting that she forgives him. Mathew buys every word, but what does Ruby really have planned?
Bridget’s organised a big promotion party for the Bait Shop, and despite Rachel’s reservations, she convinces Martha to come. By the time she arrives, however, Martha is looking far worse for wear. When Rachel brings up Bridget’s irresponsibility in inviting Martha, she can only agree, suggesting the treatment must have been different for her ovarian cancer. Rachel’s thrown, didn’t Bridget have cervical cancer?
Bridget doesn’t falter, Rachel must have misheard, but the moment leaves her somewhat rattled. Then when she drops her wallet, a series of cards fall out, all with her picture on, but each with a different name. Nobody notices, but we’re left to wonder, who is this woman?
Kirsty has been working overtime at The Sands, leaving Miles to be run ragged dealing with the Caravan Park during school holidays. Irene thinks Kirsty should tell Miles the real reason she needs the money so badly, suspecting she still harbours strong feelings for Kane, but Kirsty insists she’s only doing it for Ollie.
When Miles wakes up on the last day of the school holidays, the busiest day, sick, he asks Kirsty to take the day off work to help him out. Instead she calls Leah. Miles is grateful, little suspecting the real reason Kirsty couldn’t take off work, or that she’s about to work her first night as an escort.
