Has Kirsty been caught out? Tony’s worst fears come true. The developers find a way to make Belle back off.
Extended Summary
Belle gets a call from the development site saying that Aden’s had an accident, she rushes of and soon arrives at the development site, she meets only confusion. Nobody knows anything about Aden having an accident. Though bemused, Belle’s pleased to know Aden’s okay, but when she gets back home and finds the blueprints missing, she realises the call was just a ploy to get her out of her house so the developers could steal them back.
As if the thought that they’d broken into her room wasn’t enough, she then gets a call warning her to back off, or she and her boyfriend will be hurt. Assuming they mean Aden, she tells him to let his work buddies know she’s dropped the case, though not why. Aden’s bemused by her reversal, but thinks she’s doing the right thing.
Rachel’s missing Joe, and Tony hopes that the hospital benefit they’re attending will help cheer her up. But then they bump into Dane, alone, and clearly feeling down. Rachel wants to know what he’s doing back, and he’s forced to reveal the truth. Joe is dead.
Rachel’s inconsolable, blaming herself for letting Dane take Joe back, and then blaming Tony, for not supporting her when she wanted to take legal custody of Joe. Finally, she heaps her anger and sorrow on Dane. But none of it will bring Joe back, he’s gone.
Having gone to great lengths to get everyone else out of the house, Miles is looking forward to a night alone with Kirsty, the first in some time. But they’ve barely gotten comfortable on the couch when Kirsty gets a call from The Sands. Trish has an escort job for her. She tells Miles they need her desperately, not telling him what the job really is, and though put out, he tries to be understanding. Then, as if the night hadn’t gone badly enough already, Kirsty’s date is Martin Bartlett.
