Extended Summary

Kirsty and Bartlett are equally mortified to have been caught out. As the excuses gush from Bartlett, Kirsty desperately explains the ground rules that she’s only there to look nice and talk. Bartlett offers to let her off the hook, but Kirsty still needs the money, and doesn’t want to be a charity case.

Bartlett is concerned for Kirsty as she explains her situation, and offers to lend her all the money she needs, so she can stop doing the escort thing, but Kirsty doesn’t want to be in his debt, she’d rather stand on her own two feet. Then, as if things weren’t bad enough, Miles shows up with Leah, having been given Rachel’s tickets.

Kirsty does her best to avoid them and get out, but it’s no good. Spotted by Miles, she tells him she was given a ticket to come down during her break and have a look round. Miles is completely taken in, and thinks it’s all a wonderful coincidence. Then he spots Bartlett, who backs up Kirsty’s lie. While Miles enjoys his night, Kirsty feels guilty as sin. The next day, Bartlett again offers to loan her the money, but she turns him down, all she wants is for him to keep his mouth shut.

Nicole’s thrilled when Geoff asks her to come over and work on an assignment together, but when she arrives, Melody’s already there as well, showing off the pamphlets she’s made for Geoff’s campaign to be school captain. Not the night Nicole had planned, rather than some quiet time alone with Geoff, she gets a night watching Melody trying to impress him. And Geoff’s totally oblivious. Eventually Nicole gets fed up and leaves, much to Melody’s pleasure.

Now alone with Geoff, she suggests they watch a movie, and promptly gets closer to him on the couch. Geoff says nothing, not wanting to hurt her, but even he begins to realise he might have a problem. The next day, Melody thanks Nicole for taking her leave, and then asks for her help to get back with Geoff. Nicole is left aghast.
