Extended Summary

Belle gets home to find Aden waiting in her bedroom. Before she can even ask what’s going on, he kisses her, and tells her it’s him she should be with, not Angelo. Though she puts up a weak fight at first, Belle quickly succumbs to her own desire, and the pair collapse together onto the bed.

Afterwards, Belle hears a noise in the kitchen, and rushing out finds Angelo, head bloodied, collapsed from the floor. As Angelo is wheeled into hospital, Belle voices her suspicion that he was attacked by someone working for the developers, as a warning and she can only shed guilty tears, knowing that she’s just betrayed him, as well as caused this physical harm.

Belle can’t believe how stupid she’s been, the whole time she thought the threat against her boyfriend was meant for Aden, when they meant Angelo all along. Feeling terrible, she tells Aden she decides she can’t break up with Angelo yet, not while he’s in hospital because of her. Then the police find the real culprit responsible for attacking Angelo, just a kid he’d had a run in with before. And with so little evidence to go on, Fitzgerald decides not to request the medical records Belle needs after all.

Having just shoved Bartlett into a wall of lockers, Miles is appalled by his own behaviour, and gets himself under control. Bartlett suggests he take the rest of the day off, and he accepts the offer gratefully.

The news that Kirsty was working as an escort and still lied to him, even after coming clean about everything else, about it is too much for Miles. Though he accepts that Kirsty never meant for things to get so out of hand, he asks her to move out.

Despondent, she agrees to another night of work as an escort, and when her date notes how down she is, he suggests they go up to his room so he can cheer her up, there might even be some extra money in it for her. What will she do, and just how far has Kirsty fallen?
