Melody gets revenge on Nicole. Can Nicole survive much more of her mothers presence? What is going on with Leah?

Extended Summary

Though Natalie’s willing to shrug the whole night off as a lark, including getting her own daughter in trouble with the police, Roman’s not happy, and Nicole feels like she’s been let down by her mother yet again. Her mother’s return to her life is really messing her up. Worried, Geoff doesn’t quite no how to help her. He suggests working on some plans for the school as co captains, but she only pushes him away.

Afterwards, however, she sees some worth in his idea, and actually comes up with some good ideas. But just as she’s beginning to like the idea of being school captain, Melody has a word to Bartlett in secret. Hoping to push Geoff and Nicole away from one another, she tells him about Nicole’s run in with the police.

Feeling he has no other choice, Bartlett takes away Nicole’s captaincy. Just one more bad turn for her life to take. Charlie, meanwhile, feeling somewhat jealous and also irritated that Roman has let Natalie off so easy, shows up and has a go at her for her negligent parenting. Nicole arrives halfway through and tells Charlie off for stepping in where she’s not wanted.

A thankful Natalie apologises to her daughter for being such a bad mother, and Roman is left uneasy when he hears about Charlie’s lecture.

When Kirsty repeatedly turns down the offer of a free meal at the Diner, Irene forces her to say why. Reluctantly she tells Irene about the serving Leah gave her, she’s been keeping her distance since.

After winning a free dinner at the Sands, Leah invites Miles. He agrees to go, but afterwards questions Irene on the obvious tension between she and Leah. Irene tells him about Leah’s blow up at Kirsty, and he’s taken aback.

When Miles brings the subject up at dinner, Leah admits to it, but maintains that Kirsty deserved it, and she only had his best interests at heart. Miles thinks it was unfair, and Leah is hurt that even after what Kirsty did to him, he’d still take her side. She leaves, and he goes after her. He can’t understand why she’s overreacting so much, he’s not even angry, but Leah can’t explain without revealing her true feelings.

Finally she tells him that she just can’t stand around and watch him get back with Kirsty, so it’s better she doesn’t see him at all, and she walks away, leaving Miles bewildered.
