Rubys new bad guy brings trouble to the Bay. Aden sticks by a traumatised Belle. Bridget pulls the wool over Alf’s eyes.
Extended Summary
Ruby is enjoying all the hot male bodies around the place for schoolies, but when she sees Tony’s nephew, Xavier her sights are firmly set. Annie doesn’t think it’s a good idea to get involved with schoolies and is disappointed when their chick-flick date is blown off for watching horror movies with Xavier and his mate Damo. Ruby’s excessive flirting eventually pays off and she and Xavier have a pash. But, when Ruby’s out of sight we see that she could be getting herself involved with big trouble – a discreet exchange in the Surf Club reveals that Xavier doesn’t just smoke pot, he’s deals it!
Aden and Irene are worried about Belle who is obviously finding it hard to cope after her recent traumas but refusing to admit it. After blowing up at Aden for fussing over her, Belle realises she’s got to deal with how she’s feeling and goes to Rachel for help. Rachel diagnoses post-traumatic stress and prescribes anti-anxiety medication. However, Belle finds this difficult to accept. She doesn’t want to have to take medication in order to feel better. She doesn’t tell Aden about any of it, but he finds the prescription and he’s disappointed that she’s been shutting him out. He tells her he just wants to be there for her and help her through what is bound to be a tough time. Belle finally admits to Aden exactly what’s going through her head, but with his help, she realises she needs to accept Rachel’s diagnosis and take the medication. Irene’s pleased to see Aden sticking by Belle and admits that maybe she mis-judged him in the past.
Bridget apologises to Alf for her outburst yesterday and tells him she understands he had the right intentions. Alf’s relieved and the couple seem to be in a much better place. But Bridget later meets Brian Lawler who hands over a package that Bridget has obviously requested. Bridget tells him to continue to play along… she has a plan. Rachel’s suspicions of Bridget are quelled slightly when she spies cancer drugs in her handbag but she didn’t get them from a doctor; she got them from Brian -her seemingly partner in crime. Bridget later explains to Brian she’s set up a few ways of fleecing money from people around the bay and she’ll soon have her hands on all of Leah’s insurance payment.
