Extended Summary

Gardy drives Roman to a mystery destination. It’s a warehouse and Gardy wants Roman to participate in a robbery at the end of the week – a container full of laptops and iPods is due to be delivered. Back at the Surf Club, Grady tells Roman he owes people money and that they’ve set up the robbery as a means for him to do so and he needs Roman’s help. Gardy says he’s also doing a job to raise funds to get the necesary equiptment for the warehouse robbery. Roman doesn’t want any part of any of this but Gardy threatens that if he doesn’t he will go to the authorities about what he did in Afghanistan. Later Gardy follows a mystery woman who leads him to the Diner, where Leah gives him a serve about coming between Roman and Nicole. Leah also gives Roman a hard time about how he’s dealing with Nicole. Roman starts working at the Diner again, and he apologises to Leah about ducking his responsibilities. She tells him that she knows him well enough to realise that the situation must be grave for him to make the decisions he’s been making, and hopes that Grady is out of his life soon – the pair have reached a tentative truce.

Nicole goes with Trey to his house intending to have sex but Nicole changes her mind. She explains to Trey that she doesn’t want to sleep with him for the wrong reasons, and admits that her main motivation for wanting to was her anger towards Roman. Trey is cool with it and their relationship is strengthened. Nicole tells Ruby how much she likes Trey – it’s something positive in her life with Roman acting so weird. Roman asks Nicole to stay with Ruby for a few days – he’s doing it for her safety but she doesn’t know that and she’s hurt, believing that Roman is picking Grady over her. Trey is really lovely about the whole thing, even offering his spare room to her. Nicole decides to have sex with Trey but just as they are about to do it at his house, they hear a loud crash from the living room. Thinking it’s his father, Trey tells Nicole to hide under the bed while he investigates. Stepping out of his bedroom, he comes across his mother Jenena, being tied up by a masked Gardy – she’s the woman Gardy has been following. Gardy busts Trey but not Nicole – she is still hiding under the bed.

Claudia is freaking out about her pregnancy and is worried her father will throw her out. Geoff breaks the news to Kirsty, Miles and Annie. Annie is stunned and accuses Geoff of betraying everything he believes. Kirsty points out to Annie that, although it isn’t the path that Geoff would have chosen, the love and support of his family will help him through it – this brings Annie around and she is supportive of Geoff. But then Claudia turns up – she’s been kicked out of home and has nowhere else to go.
