Extended Summary

Martha moves out to the farm, confusing Xavier who thought if anyone would be moving out it would be him and Hugo. Hugo goes to see Martha to tell her about how he feels, half joking but also half hoping there’s something to it. Martha lies and tells Hugo that she doesn’t share his feelings and she asks him to stay away from her. Hugo is disappointed with this and from his response, Ruby and Xavier figure out the truth – Hugo is actually in love with Martha.

Tony and Angelo are working out together at the gym and he congratulates Angelo on the work he’s done to get Irene out of jail, telling him tht a lot of residents are going to be very thankful for his efforts. Tony invites Angelo to go for a jog, missing an ultra sound with Rachel. Rachel is now really concerned, and unhappy that she has had to reschedule the ultrasound for the following week. She confronts Tony about this and he apologises. Rachel later suggests they go away for the weekend to spend some quality time together before the baby arrives – but Tony reveals he’s arranged to go fishing with Angelo. Rachel decides not to press it and resolves that they can go away the following weekend. What she doesn’t know is that Tony is spending time looking at Jack’s grave, clearly still pained by the loss of his son.

Gardy is called in to see Charlie, who asks him some questions about robberies that have been taking place in the area, and after shoing a lack of willingness to participate in her inquiries, he gives Roman as his alibi. Miles goes around to see if he can find out what’s up with Roman, and the pair argue about his behaviour – but finally Roman snaps and confesses that he’s trapped by Gardy because of what he did in Afghanistan. Miles encourages Roman to go to the police but Roman says Gardy is too dangerous. Gardy comes home and susses that maybe Roman has confessed to Miles. Later at the bar, Charlie informally asks Miles what he thinks of Gardy and, sensitive to Roman’s predicament, he tells he’s just very full on and has a difficult sense of humour. Whilst Charlie goes to get a drink, Gardy turns up and tells Miles to keep things quiet or else he will hurt Kirsty, Ollie and Jai. Gardy and his crew pick up Roman and tell him that it’s time – they’re going to do the robbery.

Geoff comes back from having spent a few days away. He tells Claudia that he wants to support her and the baby but if she has an abortion they will break up. Claudia says she will keep the baby and she and Geoff agree to make a life together.
