Extended Summary
The town is reeling from the sex tape and Colleen has resorted to the sherry. Nicole is devastated, feeling betrayed by someone she really liked. She apologises to Kirsty for not listening to her about Trey, but Kirsty isn’t concerned about that at the moment, She assures Nicole that everything will be OK and that she has nothing to ashamed of. Kirsty and Miles are furious at Trey. John Palmer brings Trey around to the Summer Bay House, asking if his son can apologise to Nicole, but Kirsty and Miles refuse. Kirsty makes sure Trey is aware of exactly how much damage he’s caused, and informs him that he’ll be hearing from their lawyer.
Nicole’s friends rally around her but she can’t show her face at school. Palmer asks Bartlett if Trey can apologise in front of the entire school. Miles thinks Palmer is only doing this to get his son out of trouble but Bartlett says Nicole should at least be aware of the offer. To everyone’s surprise, Nicole agrees with Palmer’s offer – she wants Trey to be humiliated as much as she has been. Meanwhile Colleen is still upset about what has happened – she is convinced that her name will now forever be associated with scandal. Trey goes around to Nicole’s place to apologise on his own, only to overhear Nicole claiming that Trey is sick in the head.
Geoff apologises to Claudia for being so grumpy the past few days, but Claudia is becoming a little jealous about Geoff’s relationship with Nicole. She goes to meet Lachie, at Lachie’s request, and he tells her he wants to get back together. Claudia refuses and tells him about the baby. Lachie suspects the baby is his and they argue – this is seen by Geoff who happens to be walking past. Claudia starts to act guilty about Geoff – is the baby in fact his? Geoff tells Claudia he saw her arguing with Lachie earlier. Claudia says Lachie is just jealous and says she only has eyes for Geoff. But then Lachie comes around to see Claudia again. She is out and Geoff tells him to stay away. Lachie bites back, claiming that Claudia’s baby is his. Geoff is reeling.
Charlie and Angelo are having dinner at the Diner and talking about recent events when May turns up. Ruby arrives a few minutes later and tells them all what went down at the film festival. When she asks Charlie whether she can charge Trey with anything, Charlie takes the opportunity to leave May and Angelo to it. Charlie is aware she is becoming jealous of May and Angelo’s relationship. The next day May tells her that she knows everything that happened last time Angelo was in the bay, that she’s OK with it, and she thinks its nice that Charlie and him can still be friends. Charlie assumes she is talking about Jack’s death, and so puts her foot in it when May had really been talking about Charlie and Angelo’s past relationship. Angelo has a go at Charlie for this and accuses her of stabbing him in the back, given the fact that Angelo received a call today to say he was being permanently stationed in Summer Bay. Angelo goes to see May and gives his side of the story – he was fined for perverting the course of an investigation, but all the other charges were dropped. To his surprise, despite May’s initial reservations, she is supportive and forgiving. Charlie sees them embracing and she realises that she may have driven Angelo into May’s arms for good.
