ELIJAH JOHNSON (JAY LAGA’AIA)
Written by Sarah Walker
Directed by Scott Hartford Davis
Extended Summary
Elijah is a deer caught in headlights after Leah caught him holding an engagement ring for her – when he said that he would be happy to take things slowly. Leah talks to Irene claiming she has stuffed everything up with Elijah, whilst Elijah talks things over with Miles. Nicole, devastated that she could have ruined things for Elijah, convinces Miles to go and talk to Leah. Leah’s big concern is that she’ll hurt Elijah once more. When Elijah approaches Leah on the beach she makes her stance loud and clear – she thinks they should break up.
As Marilyn gives Alf a friendly hug, it is completely misconstrued by Colleen who happens to be walking by at the time. Colleen soon makes her way around to see Alf, accusing him of ‘gallivanting’ with Marilyn in public. Alf explains it was just a hug but Colleen doesn’t believe a word of it, still thinking the two of them are engaged. Alf sets Colleen straight about the engagement but Colleen still thinks Marilyn has her eyes set on Alf. Marilyn comes up with a plan to teach Colleen a lesson.
While Liam and Ruby work on songs together, Ruby suggests perhaps putting together a whole album which Liam considers. Throughout their music session, Ruby finds herself watching Liam with romantic interest, which Nicole notices. Ruby talks to Irene, thrilled to be collaborating with Liam professionally. Irene on the other hand is concerned about Ruby’s school work. When Ruby finds herself again talking about Liam to Nicole, Nicole puts the question out there – have you got the hots for Liam? Ruby is floored and denies it completely. She has Xavier – she’s certainly wouldn’t hurt him again like what happened with Geoff.
Liam soon approaches Ruby telling her he agrees on the idea of doing an album which means they’ll be spending a whole lot more time together. During their brainstorming session, Ruby finds herself completely taken with Liam and feels herself falling for him – she pulls out of the moment and rushes away leaving Liam perplexed.
