Extended Summary

Angelo is excited about the imminent opening of his restaurant – although there is a possibility the restaurant may not be ready in time. Even Alf is putting the pressure on Angelo, wondering how he thinks he’s going to open in time. Alf voices his concerns – he certainly can’t give him an extension and if he can’t open his restaurant, Angelo is sure to receive a penalty from the Committee. Or worse, they could cancel his lease and get another tenant in, if he doesn’t warn them beforehand that things might not be ready. But Angelo remains positive – with help by his side, he will get this done, and Romeo offers up some help and is sure he can recruit more people. Charlie tells Angelo that there’s no forensic evidence on the burnt out car, which means they’ll likely be no prosecution – and that she, Ruby and Liam will be at the restaurant work bee. With tradesmen soon cancelling on him, Angelo is feeling the strain – unsure if he believes his own words or if he will in fact make it on time. Liam, Ruby, Xavier, Indi, Romeo and Dexter all turn up for the bee, but Angelo is really starting to feel the strain. after some words of encouragement he starts to be a little more positive. Xavier takes the opportunity to talk to Romeo, and the guys make up.

Dex tells Indi that he’s given Marilyn his seal of approval. Later on he drops round to Summer Bay House to see Marilyn, but she is out – and whilst Alf doesn’t suss him out, it is clear that he sent the flowers to Marilyn. Dexter has a crush! Romeo admits to Alf that he and Indi are just friends for now. Indi is excited to be invited to the working bee at the restaurant by Romeo. While talking to Indi, Romeo admits that he’s down on relationship in general, which concerns Indi. Romeo says he’s staying away from relationships for as long as possible.

April and Bianca have a small disaster at their rental property and after a fight with their landlord, they get kicked out. April is angry at Bianca for creating confrontation and getting them kicked out, and tells Xavier everything. Xavier asks his mum if the girls can stay at their place, and despite her initial reluctance, she reaches an agreement with Xavier – they can move in if he lays off John for two whole months. He agrees, and the girls move in – April is sure to tell Bianca that she needs to make sure runs smoothly, given that she’s living with her boss. April is also very grateful to Xavier for laying off John in order to get them out of trouble.

Liam and Ruby are preparing their set list for songs to sing during their gig at Angelo’s opening night, and Ruby is very excited about the gig, despite some nerves. Ruby stumbles upon Liam and Bianca having lunch and is very awkward as they flirt with each other – and devastated when he invites her along to Angelo’s restaurant working bee. Ruby still hasn’t got over her crush on Liam and when Ruby tries to confide in Xavier about her love life, he doesn’t want to know – he refuses to be her fallback guy when things get tough. Later at the bee, Ruby is unhappy at seeing Bianca and Liam together.
