Extended Summary
Charlie pleads with Angelo not to fight his compliance notice in court. Charlie thinks he wants to bail Indi out due to something that happened in his past. Angelo insists this isn’t true – he just thinks it would be unfair if Indi had to live with a record because of one silly mistake. Later, he tells Charlie he used to bail his little brother out of trouble all the time, and his brother was in fact the one that started the fire at the family business – an act that cost Angelo his share in the restaurant. Charlie tells him he can’t let that happen again, he can’t take the fall for Indi. Angelo agrees and fires a devastated Indi. Alf tells Angelo he needs someone experienced behind the bar – someone who can look after the staff as well as the patrons. Angelo agrees and makes Alf bar manager of Angelo’s.
Things are off to a tense start in the library for Bianca and Liam. Liam asks Bianca to rate his kissing ability but she refuses to comment. Bianca heads to the bathroom where her emotions get the better of her and she receives a text from Vittorio. Liam senses her upset and apologises, fearing he’s said something to make her feel bad, but Bianca shuts him down and Liam is left feeling very confused.
Leah confronts Ruby over the alcohol fiasco. She tells her to come clean and admit the wine was for her. Again, Ruby denies this and heads to her bedroom as Irene arrives. Leah can see Irene’s still upset after Charlie’s harsh words. Leah tells Charlie she should apologise to Irene, but Charlie’s loyalties are to Ruby. Charlie asks if Ruby’s come clean about the wine, but Leah says she’s still sticking to her story. The next day, Ruby announces that she doesn’t care if she’s grounded forever – she’s not changing her story, the wine wasn’t for her.
