Extended Summary
Romeo has lost his voice and takes a note pad so he can write what he wants to say. When Indi sees Romeo, she insists they go and see her dad to get a proper check up. Sid thinks Romeo’s laryngitis may be caused by an allergy to something and Indi then worries that Romeo is perhaps allergic to her. Romeo assures her that it’s not Indi he’s allergic to and he gives her a passionate kiss. When Sid assesses Romeo once more, it’s clear that it’s Indi’s lipstick he was allergic to the whole time. Romeo and Indi then decide to take the next step in their relationship.
After confessing his feelings for Marilyn, Dexter is avoiding Sid, and Sid has no idea how to approach the situation. He also seems uncomfortable discussing Indi’s problems about sex, a fact that she seems quite content with.
John prepares for his council meeting – hoping to get all his proposals through, including banning water bottles and installing recycle bins, and April is making a final push in the community to get people on their side. April is worried about the outcome, but Xavier assures her that Palmer knows how to whip up a mob to his way of thinking. During the meeting, the motion for banning water bottles is passed but to John’s horror, funding the water bottle project will now be taken from his pet project the ‘Highway to Summer Bay’ project. April soon overhears John bagging the water bottle plan and she’s furious at him. She wonders how they are going to rally support for this project when John can’t even get enthusiastic about it.
Leah is thrilled that her phone call with Elijah went so well and it seems it has restored her to her old bubbly self. She’s even organised a follow up phone call with him. However she admits that she still feels depressed because the conversation had to end. VJ tells Miles he is happy that Leah is happy again and has high hopes for the future – Miles makes sure he realises that thing still might not work out. Leah is happy after her second phone call, but is worried that VJ thinks she and Elijah might be getting back together. Miles tells her straight – she needs to figure out what it is that will make her happy. Later, VJ reminds Leah of some advice she once gave him, and it helps her work things out. Before long, Leah and VJ decide to visit Elijah and they book two plane tickets to Africa.
